  Maintenance Patch

  Small update to the demo: Hint now automatically activates when building pieces are placed. Note: Hint arrow can be disabled in the released version, for increased challenge. This feature is currently not available in the demo. Performance Optimizations Fixed an issue that was causing keybinds to be in the wrong order. What we are working on: Character Customization and Personalization Good news! Cozy Builder will release with Character Customization. You may create an avatar that resonates with you the most!   Cozy Builder is at Gamescom 2026!

  We have some news that still feels slightly unreal to type: Cozy Builder is at Gamescom! From August 26–30 you'll find us in Cologne at the indie.io booth, Hall 10.2 | Stand F011g. If you're at the show, please come by, sit down and build something. We would genuinely love to watch someone wander into Cozy Vineyard Valley! Here's a sneak peek of the booth while it was being set up! The valley is open right now on Steam!If you can't make it to Cologne, the demo is live on Steam right now, and it's free!Restore the damaged homes around the valley. Fill them with everything from beds and curtains to a properly stocked kitchen. 💖 And bring someone with youThe Steam demo is co-op! So if you DID check us out on the show floor, once you get home, invite a friend to play with you! Click Host Game in the Multiplayer menu, and your Steam friends can drop straight in and build alongside you, working on the same valley together. 💬 Tell us what you thinkWhether you play it in Cologne or at home, please tell us how it went. So many of the updates we've shipped came directly from player suggestions — the move-item feature, the keybinding options, longer daylight, faster sprinting, and now character creation.   Small Maintenance Patch

  Demo Changes: Fixed a movement issue in Multiplayer where the server would see the client glitch in one place. Usually happened rarely around obstacles while moving sideways. Optimized the lighting around the time when a new character first starts. Increased the day time duration slightly to allow for more daylight.

  Usability Update and Devblog

  Hi Cozy Builders! We have updated the Demo again! You can now rebind "Movement Keys" to the numpad and other keys. This took a bit longer than expected, as we wanted to be sure that most input-related bugs, etc., had been sorted. As a small indie team, it is hard to bring forth all usability features right from the get-go, while juggling the complexities of a multiplayer building game mid-development. We apologize for the delay. More Keybinding options are now available! Note: If you have already played the demo and remapped some keys, you may want to restore defaults and remap again for the best experience. Keybinding is still a work in progress. If you encounter any issues, please let us know. Fixed an issue where certain animals got stuck More optimizations to allow for more building pieces to be placed by you. What we are working on for the release Cozy Vineyard Valley is your creative sandbox. While we are working on adding more interesting objectives for you to complete, we are also focusing on making sure that you have everything and the kitchen sink to make your home cozier!
