Explore the absurdities of the Czech Parliament as you navigate its corridors, avoiding politicians and gathering campaign promises in this casual survival horror satire by Richard Haraším.

About this game

“You'll finally find out what's going on in the Parliament, both during the day and after midnight.”

No press conference, no open house. The Chamber of Deputies is opening its doors full-time! Step into a unique blend of an assistant simulator and a heart-stopping horror experience. Can you meet the needs of our lawmakers in broad daylight and survive their nighttime rampage by flashlight?

☀️ DAY SHIFT: Parliamentary Assistant Simulator

Forget about a cushy job in an office. From 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., you’re a jack-of-all-trades who keeps this political theater running. You could even say you’re the most important person in the country!

  • Hard Work: Morning cleaning, mopping up vomit or blood, collecting fresh trash or empty beer bottles, and getting rid of cobwebs.

  • Carrying out twisted tasks: Politicians are hungry and have specific needs. Bringing them sandwiches, cleaning up trash in offices, or searching for “normal white powder”. Plus, at 12:00, a brutal lunch and smoking break begins.

  • Relentless Quotas: The difficulty increases every day. If you don’t meet the daily quota, you’ll get fired.

  • Watch Out for Their Wrath: If you refuse to complete a task for a politician, they might get angry, activate their horror mode, and end your career (and life—typical) prematurely.

  • Endless Mode & Upgrades: Play as long as you can handle the pressure. Use the crowns you earn to upgrade your stats and buy absurd perks. New tasks, local events, and much more will be added.

🌙 NIGHT HORROR: A Struggle for Survival, Promises, and Bribes

As soon as night falls, the Chamber of Deputies transforms into a dark maze where nocturnal creatures—who (supposedly) never sleep—come to life. Choose your nighttime objective:

  • Classic Horror: Weave through the hallways, hide in lockers or ventilation shafts, and find 10 real campaign promises in the political parties’ offices.

  • Theft: Forget the promises—go for what’s most valuable. Steal as many valuable items as possible (including boxes of wine, cartons of eggs, and subsidies) and get out before it’s too late.

  • Bribes: Carefully sneak through the shadows and try to bribe as many politicians as possible.

  • Sneak and Listen: Don’t shine your flashlight for no reason. Listen for footsteps. If a politician catches you, they won’t drag you to the police—they’ll take you to their office for an endless lecture on a “better future.”

🍕 A Czech Survival Kit and Absurd Synergies

Replayability is ensured by the random spawning of offices, politicians, and items. To survive and clean up effectively, you’ll use purely local equipment:

  • Utility items: Bread with a schnitzel, socks in sandals, beer, homemade plum brandy, bitcoins, or the holy trinity of pork, dumplings, and sauerkraut. From holy fried cheeses to a DVD featuring a nondescript politician.

  • Absurd Buffs: Combine food and alcohol to reach insane heights. Being drunk will bring you a huge dose of luck, but also the risk of total bad luck! Likewise, watch out for strange open-faced sandwiches.

  • National Economy: The main currency is the Czech koruna. Find forgotten 5,000-koruna bills and spend them at the legendary parliamentary cafeteria on mysterious delicacies.

  • Patriotism: This will be a system of patriotic challenges where completing them can unlock new modes and characters. For example, finding selfies from Alenka, unlocking speedrun mode, and so on.

🏛️ An Authentic Virtual Tour

You’ll explore poorly rendered nooks and crannies—from the main assembly hall through a labyrinth of corridors to the dungeons. School field trips are no longer necessary; here, you’ll even see what was meant to remain hidden forever.

👥 Choose Your Hero

Choose from the current 8 playable characters (more are planned), such as the Villager or the Townsperson. Each character offers specific advantages and disadvantages for both day and night modes. In horror mode, you have 3 lives (until you finish your last bottle of beer). For the assistant, it’s failing to meet the quota.

The game is currently in early access; everything is subject to change, adjustments, and testing. I regularly update the game and add new content (currently over 30 tasks—the goal is 100!).

The game is a satirical and artistic work. The characters, themes, and scandals are stylized or fictionally reinterpreted to heighten the absurdity and are not intended to offend anyone.

    The Bureaucratic Big Top

Another gruesome, terrifying, and now also bureaucratically insane update to the Parliament is here!I’m introducing a brand-new feature that radically changes the game. The Chamber of Deputies is no longer just a pure horror game. We’re entering the era of the simulator! On top of that, I’ve managed to drastically reduce the absurd size of the game files. So when will the full version be released, and what can you expect? Read on!MAJOR CLEANUPNew game mode: Assistant Simulator! The game is now divided into day and night segments.During the day, you become a jack-of-all-trades assistant in the House of Representatives. You’ll be doing morning cleanup, mopping floors, and carrying out politicians’ bizarre tasks.Working hours are from 6:45 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (one day lasts about 10–11 minutes). At 12:00 p.m., there’s a smoking and lunch break for serving meals and lighting cigarettes. You must meet increasingly difficult quotas, or you’ll be fired on the very first day!Daily Routine Mechanics and EconomicsUse the money you earn to buy helpers to boost your attributes and other absurdities.Watch out for alcohol! Being drunk brings great luck, but also massive bad luck. You can’t sell items to the cafeteria through the assistant—you only earn money by working, lighting cigarettes, eating, and picking up money off the ground.Warning: Don’t anger the politicians by refusing tasks! They can summon their horror counterpart and immediately end your shift.New Areas and Interactive MessNumerous changes to the main rooms and hallways.A new interaction system has been added: you can pick up trash and tools (e.g., an automated mop) directly with your hands. You can throw trash into trash cans, and clean up cobwebs and dirt by clicking on them.MISCELLANEOUS (Minor updates and fixes)New lighting: Added a day-night cycle (sunrise and sunset) for Assistant Mode—this may be more demanding on your PC, so I’ll be optimizing it.Visual cleanup: Removed hundreds of visual bugs, and the hallways ar...

    Parliament Toilets

Enjoy the last few days of May! Another gruesome and terrifying update in the form of a reconstruction of the Chamber of Deputies—this time on the next floor and in the basement. I’ve added the most important rooms I’d forgotten about: the restrooms. Also, the absurdly large game file sizes have been reduced—and when will the full version actually be released?Main HorrorParliament reconstruction. New rooms added to the next floor! On the ground floor, we have a shooting range, strip clubs, and libraries, and we’re now introducing gyms, bowling alleys, and bars. We’ve also fixed the glass courtyard, various hallways, and made travel more comfortable. And of course, the restrooms can’t be missing!Basement renovation. The basement’s atmosphere is becoming more intense. However, various secret passages, completely off-limits rooms, and oddities are planned for version 0.8.Game size reduction. I took a close look at the game’s growing size (up to 1.1 GB!), which I managed to reduce through various methods that shouldn’t significantly impact the game’s functionality or aesthetics. We’re currently at 700 MB, which is much more manageable.Minor ScaresReducing the game’s size may result in poorer optimization. Just keep that in mind. I’ll definitely tweak it in the future.Added new navigation markers for new room types—smoking rooms, restrooms, and others. More garbage everywhere!Slightly adjusted the placement of promises in Classic Mode.Updated the game’s Steam store page. The game’s final release is getting closer and closer! The next update will be version 0.8, scheduled for June. It will mark the final completion of the Chamber of Deputies’ reconstruction. This will conclude the main phase of the process, during which we’ve been adding content continuously. On the path to version 0.9, our goal is to improve the game in every aspect based on feedback, particularly in gameplay, UI, and UX. We might also fix Patriotism—the in-game currency—to better support the time spent u...

    The Horrific Stork's Nest

Spring greetings! The Chamber of Deputies brings another terrifying update in the form of renovation work on the Chamber of Deputies—primarily the ground floor. More will follow. The game itself is now fully functional following the introduction of 3D characters and runs better than before. Of course, there are also bug fixes and plenty of other minor improvements.Main HorrorParliamentary Remodel. The first new rooms have been added, and adjustments are being made where they’re really needed—whether it’s narrow hallways, confusing paths, or empty spaces. New additions include a parliamentary strip club, Čapí Hnízdo, a fitness room, Alenka’s photo studio, libraries, fully functional restrooms, and a new room. There are also plenty of hidden spots and corridors. Much more is on the way.Custom Mode renovation. After adding 3D characters and voice lines, it had to be deactivated. Now, finally with a better interface, you can customize up to 10 enemies—whether it’s their appearance, 3D or 2D, behavior type, or speed. Likewise, new variables have been added for players to customize game modes, as well as changes to player speed, jump intensity, and flashlight. You can have endless fun! And there’s much more planned.Lighting overhaul and optimization. I’ve finally put more effort into baked game lights—they no longer cast shadows into other rooms and instead cast shadows correctly onto objects. It’s much cleaner now. Optimizing various objects used to cause issues in the past, but hopefully it’s better now.Minor Scare FactorsClassic Horror – More Rewards Added. Completing the main game is harder than it was at the start. That’s why I’m adding a few extra rewards. If a player collects more than 10, the additional ones will be bonus rewards, such as Patriot Points.Various previous bugs in Custom Mode have been fixed. For example, incorrect enemy spawning or limited modification settings.Mr. Kyvadélka’s character lines will now play sounds even while patrolling or chasing.The...

    Pavel, take the stage!

Spring greetings! Snemovna brings you another major update, version 0.77, with unspeakable horror—primarily focused on a new playable character, the President, and a new game mode. Of course, there are also a few visual fixes and new little touches, such as improved interaction with the player’s flashlight and new “fatal” items.Main HorrorPresident Pavel is on the scene! A new type of enemy that simply blocks the player’s path. In the worst-case scenario, he can block your way when it’s completely unnecessary. His goal is to go everywhere.New game mode - Bribes. The goal is to bribe or otherwise torment all 8 main game enemies. The player wins if all enemies are out of commission. You can use subsidies, bitcoins, and so on. Promises are replaced by the number of active enemies. To support the mode, the drop rate for subsidies has been increased.2 fatal items to support Bribes. A globe for 15,000 and a frame of the president’s photo. The game UI will be adapted to screens of all resolutions. The intensity of the player’s flashlight will adapt to the environment—if the player is near a wall, the intensity and spread will adjust. Some visual elements fixed (the ability to get stuck on the stairs, and other minor bugs)First Level of Detail form of optimization for the most annoying objects. The game will run better in the basement!Minor Scare FactorsThere is a new trading zone in the basement. This is the fourth one.The "Theft" mode has been adjusted. Enemies will spawn after the first item is thrown into the van. Similarly, when the time limit expires, the player does not automatically die, but enemies will switch to pursuit mode.In "Theft" mode, the player's spawn point is now in the correct location.Items were not displaying for characters such as Villager, Immigrant, etc. This has now been fixed. The Navmesh game AI has been slightly adjusted for more natural enemy movement.Items intended for sale now have the appropriate text and notifications.Bribe items have been adj...

    Spooky Quotes

Spring greetings! Snemovna brings another significant update, version 0.75, primarily focused on enemy dialogue and other localizations. Additionally, minor adjustments have been made, as described below.Main HorrorDialogue for specific characters—organized by category. Currently available for 10 charactersOccasional mix of voice lines to listen to near the assembly hallLimiting voice lines or enemies based on the floor the player is on. Not working perfectly yet, sorryNew side mode for high fuel prices. So watch out, don’t let them catch you!Cellars and courtyards better optimized—unnecessary objects removedAdded new spawn points: promises, players, and new waypoints for enemiesClearer jump scare effect—characters will now be more noticeableMinor Scare FactorsRemoved the automatic spawning of enemies after a certain amount of time in Classic Horror mode. Same goes for Heist mode; enemies will now spawn when the first item is thrown into the van.Enemy size has been slightly reduced; they were becoming too dominant. The Wine Box and Pistol items could be sold an infinite number of times for profit. How cheeky!Added a new Dialogue slider to the game settings. In case the voice lines were annoying. Some sounds have been muted (the Player item, the volume of certain loops).Side modes fixed. The arrival of 3D characters had completely broken them. They are now fully functional. However, Custom Mode will need some work. Better not try it:DIn the case of the last life, a jumpscare didn’t trigger; instead, instant death occurred. Fixed. The Holy Trinity has lived up to its successful duo—first the 3D characters and their animations, and now the voice lines. Next week, I’ll focus on the necessary minor fixes. And then I’ll move on to the final stretch of version 0.8—which will focus on the environment. That might take a little longer, so I expect to finish by mid-April.Once again, a huge thank you for all your support, the joy of playing, and the scares from our dear familiar f...
