Stylized Graphics Update
The Chapter 5 store page still won't be up for a few more weeks yet, but in the meantime, I've got a decently sizeable update for the already released chapters right here:- The game will now REALLY no longer autosave when you've just presented an incorrect piece of evidence- There is now an option for "stylized" visuals in the settings menu that changes up a large amount of the game's UI. It's on by default, but you can switch it back to how things were before if you'd like- There is now an in-game brightness setting (riveting, I know)- A few visual glitch patches- The number of lines of dialogue contained in the log has increased from 4 to 48 (if you load up a save file from before this update, the last currently saved lines of dialogue are going to be a little messed up, and I'm sorry about that. I hope that you believe that this little hiccup is worth the upgrade)More goodies are coming soon, along with Chapter 5 itself! Stay tuned for more, and I'll be back just as soon as everything's ready!P.S. As usual, if you notice any bugs, glitches, typos, or anything else and want to let me know, feel free to email whitetophatofficialhelp@gmail.com anytime. Chapter 4 Post-release Update
One more big update before work begins on Chapter 5! (There might be some small bug/typo fixes here and there after this, but nothing as big as this update.) Here are the changes that’ve been made:-An “Act” selection button has been added to the start menu for chapters 2-4. You can use it to start a new game from a point partway through the chapter, if you desire to do so-The game will no longer autosave if you’ve just presented an incorrect piece of evidence-The game’s file size has been reduced considerably-Adding onto the last change, almost all of the UI elements of the game have been redone so that they can be compressed to save on file size. Everything should still look almost exactly the same as before, but it’s still definitely something worth noting down here-The mouse cursor will now disappear if you start playing with a game controller-Various bugs have been patched, mostly regarding issues when starting a new game after loading a save file-A few minor typo issues have been fixed As always, if anyone’s experience of the game has been negatively impacted by any bugs and/or typos, I’m extremely sorry, and I’m constantly on the lookout for any and all issues of the sort so that I can fix them up as soon as possible. If you find any problems with the game, you can send an email to whitetophatofficialhelp@gmail.com, and I’ll get on it right away.Read full article on Community Announcements (whitetophatofficial1907)Patch NotesOfficial
Chapter 4 Release Update
Chapter 4 is finally out, and with it, all previous chapters are now getting an update! The following things have been changed: - There is now an indicator in the evidence/profile menu that displays how many pages of evidence/profiles are available- The flashback overlay visual has been updated- The testimony counter visual has been updated- The evidence/profile menu can now be closed by pressing the return key/button on a keyboard/controller- Some general typo and glitch fixes (Very special thanks to Matt Sunston, who very kindly listed out a great many issues that slipped my attention in Chapter 3 in particular. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed or unappreciated.) The game’s official soundtrack should be updated with the new tracks in Chapter 4 shortly. Also, an additional update will be coming up soon to provide a few additional quality of life features, in addition to a file size reduction. I’m terribly sorry for anyone who’s experience of the games has been hindered by any persisting typos and/or glitches that this update patches up. Thank you, everyone, for playing Samuel Prince Attorney at Law, and I hope that you all enjoy Chapter 4!Read full article on Community Announcements (whitetophatofficial1907)
