Explore endless 2D sci-fi caves as Undelve from Surface Code Studio, choosing what to scavenge for ammo while battling spider foes.

About this game

Escape from the core of a spider-infested planet, gathering the scraps of your torn-apart ship and crew to survive as you forcefully fight waves of enemies to escape. Though you were never supposed to land, remember what you came here for... This planet's complete and total eradication.

Just escaping isn't enough...

About the game

Undelve is a 2D Looter Shooter all about the balance between two things: your items, which give you both passive and active buffs, and your matter, which is what most weapons use to reload their ammo. Without items, you won't be strong enough to escape, but without matter, forget about reloading your gun.

As you explore through spider-infested tunnels, find the explosive mines littered around the world left by your ship, charge them up, and obliterate each zone one by one till no spider remains; however, each area has increasingly wild enemies that you must learn to adapt to.

With multiple endings, the way to victory is up to you...

There are a dozen characters to pick from, all with unique loadouts, including different starting weapons, items, and special "dash" abilities. Each character has a favorite playstyle and leans towards some item builds, but if you're determined or lucky enough, any character can flourish with any item synergy. Start with the Commando and unlock the other 11 characters over time via Steam achievements.

With 100 items, 20+ weapons, and many more consumables, no two runs will ever be the same.

88 of the items (all but blue tier) are unlocked via Steam achievements and are instantly added to your game the moment the achievement is achieved, no need to restart the run for it to enter the item pool.

I could go on and on but...

I'd rather not spoil everything. If you read this far and think what you read sounded interesting, wishlist it and go try out the Demo!

Hi everyone, dev here! There is a new reticle option in video settings to change your cursor as well as a few bug fixes! (There totally wasn't a bug that didn't let you loop your run if you did something specific or anything, surely nothing that big...)ANYWAY! Have fun messing around with your cursor!(Here's what you're looking for, and a short: )And as always, thanks for playing my game!

Something To Go With Tutorial Mode

Hi everyone, dev here!Today I added a new kind of tutorial. Right before dropping into the game, you can open a tutorial map that teaches the basics of the game free of spiders (mostly). I still recommend keeping Tutorial Mode on if you're new, but this should help for those who need more handholding. Here's a Short about it.And as always, thanks for playing my game!

    Stats & Leaderboards

Hi everyone, dev here! The demo for Undelve came out a few days ago, and I want to thank everyone who has tried it so far! Today I have added a new option to the menu! I have been slowly adding to the Tutorial Mode and will continue to until I'm confident anyone could pick the game up and instantly understand at least the basics, but I took a moment to add some stat visuals to the game! Here's a screenshot of what that looks like.(I swear I'm good at my own game, the losses were a calculated test, nothing more...)P.S. I fixed a few minor bugs too...Thanks again for playing my game!

    Tutorial Mode

Hi everyone, dev here!Yesterday, the demo for Undelve came out, and I have received some great feedback. I've been working on a few things on the demo build, including a leaderboard, but most importantly, I have been informed that some people have no idea what they are doing (which is entirely my own fault). The demo now has a tutorial mode setting under the video tab. It is set as active by default. It's nothing fancy, just something to show you where to go/where to look, and you can toggle it on and off at any time. Thanks for trying my game!
