13% Off Through Train Fest 2026!
You read that right: the Steam Train Fest of 2026 is on track (yep) to end in under 48 hours. In case you've been living under a rock—or stuck in a tunnel with no signal—or out of the loop altogether—or wherever you've been; hey, I'm not asking—you mightn't've noticed that Autumn Rail is thematically discounted for the duration of the festival. We're talking 13% off, baby. Oh yeah. This fest has been a pretty special one, being Autumn Rail's first Steam festival ever and all. And to be honest, I couldn't think of a more fitting first festival (what with the train theming, you know). To commemorate the fest and our participation in it, I've drawn up this portrait of who else but Autumn Rail's protagonist Tera Venger, pressed up hard against an upturned train cart. (Full disclosure: due to file size limitations, this is a compressed version of my piece. To see the portrait in full, just click on through to my Bluesky post, here.) Time, as always, is ticking, and there's no time like the present, so. If you wanna have the right to pocket your hands with a cool shrug and brag, "yeah, I bought Autumn Rail on sale during the Train Fest of 2026," then let me tell you now is the time to do exactly that. See you there. -Reece R.Read full article on Community Announcements (broomofyamiko)AnnouncementsOfficial
Seven Months (And Several Days) Later...
Hey there! I'm Reece, the lead (and sole) developer at Calamity Maid. I've got a couple'a things to share with you today, so make yourselves comfortable, pour a glass, etc. Firstly, key art! (This is by far the more exciting of the two things I'm sharing today.) I am thrilled to reveal to you this magnificent portrait (read: masterpiece) of Tera Venger, which has been illustrated for Calamity Maid by the Rotting To Live artist GleamyGuts! Behold, in all its vivid splendor! (Full disclosure: due to file size limitations, this is a compressed version of the completed artwork. To see the image in full, you'll want to check out my Bluesky post, here.) I all but fainted at the sight of this piece, by the way. I could hardly believe that any one work of art could be so magnificent. I still can't. Many thanks again to GleamyGuts for this vividly inspired contribution to the Autumn Rail canon. You know, as of May 15th, 2026, it's been seven months to the date since Calamity Maid released Autumn Rail via Steam. As of today, it's been seven months and several days. (Time flies, huh?) As some of you might've already twigged, 7 is one of the more important numbers in the world of Autumn Rail. But even more generally speaking, the number seven has featured significantly in myths, legends, histories, and fairytales—plus, it's said to be the maximum number of items the average human can remember at any given time. How about that? To everyone who has played the game, or wishlisted it—to everyone who has shared their thoughts in the form of reviews, or talked about the game with friends, or thought about the game for hours after the credits rolled: thank you. Thank you all. This seven month anniversary feels all the more special 'cause of you. Who knows, maybe in seven years' time I'll have even more of you to thank! Wouldn't that be something. -Reece R.Read full article on Community Announcements (broomofyamiko)AnnouncementsOfficial
Happy One-Month Anniversary!
Over one (1) month has passed since Autumn Rail launched on Steam! Yay. In commemoration of this, here's a bonus CG of Tera Venger, our misplaced protagonist. I don’t know about you, but I'd GLADLY be trapped in a train station with her any time.Read full article on Community Announcements (broomofyamiko)
