About this game

Game Overview

This game offers a unique fusion of the satisfying physics-based action of Peggle with the strategic depth of a Roguelike. Players will launch pinballs with special abilities to hit pegs across the board and collect a wide variety of products. The core of the game lies in cleverly building synergies and chain reactions between these products, aided by unique staff members, to achieve astonishingly high scores. Every launch is a thrilling combination of skill, strategy, and a touch of luck.

Detailed Introduction & Core Features

- The Pure Fun of Physics-Based Pinball: Experience the sheer joy of watching your ball bounce and ricochet between pegs, triggering satisfying combos with a feast for the eyes and ears. Precise aiming is fundamental, but every collision, simulated by the physics engine, can lead to unexpected and delightful outcomes, making every shot exciting.

- Deep Strategic Deck-Building: The game is about much more than just hitting pegs. Every "product" you collect is crucial. Products not only have a base value but also belong to different "groups" (like Food, Animal, Tool, etc.) and have "tags" (like Fruit, Round, Metal, etc.). The real magic lies in the synergies between them: when specific conditions are met (e.g., having both an "Apple" and a "Pie" in your cart), the value of products can multiply. Discovering and exploiting these combinations is the key to high scores.

- Build Your Unique Scoring Engine:

- Massive Variety of Products: Hundreds of products are waiting to be collected, each with unique properties and potential synergies. You'll need to strategically select and collect them, much like building a deck of cards, to create your one-of-a-kind scoring engine.

- Quirky Staff Members: Between levels, you can hire staff members with diverse abilities in the shop. They provide powerful, game-altering passive buffs. Some might double the value of all "Fruit" products, others might reward you with extra balls for completing specific combos, and some might even add more high-value pegs to the board when you reroll.

- Specialized Pinballs: Unlock and choose from different types of pinballs. They not only possess unique physical properties (like higher bounce or heavier mass) but may also come with special abilities (like splitting into multiple balls or allowing a mid-air aim adjustment). The type of ball you choose also determines your collection slot limit per launch, adding another layer of strategic planning.

- Roguelike Progression & Endless Replayability: Every playthrough is a new challenge. You'll face randomly generated peg layouts, shop inventories, and level objectives. After successfully clearing a level, use your earnings to invest wisely in the shop—buy new products, hire new staff, and prepare for the tougher challenges ahead. The vast number of combinations between products, staff, and pinballs ensures that every game feels fresh and full of discovery. You'll always be finding new, powerful, and even surprisingly effective synergies.

Rogue Circus — Gameplay Showcase (Re-Broadcast)

⚠ RE-BROADCAST — this is a pre-recorded gameplay loop, not a live stream. What you're watchingRogue Circus is a roguelike about running the world's most irresponsible circus concession stand — using a pachinko board.Every show hands you a small fistful of balls. Launch one, watch it ricochet through a field of pegs, and every peg it smashes hands you a product. Products pile into your shipping slots, and when the show settles the slots pay out: blue score × red multiplier. Clear the target and the show goes on. Miss it and the run is over. The board is the easy part. Between shows you buy products, hire staff who care about very specific things, stack relics, bend the ball's path with rails, and craft new items in the synthesis workshop — until a run that started at 40 points a ball is settling for millions.Things to watch for in this loopThe settlement — the moment the slots read out one by one is the whole game in miniature: you can see exactly which product, which staff member and which relic paid you.Combos nobody designed— most big runs come from two or three items feeding each other in a way that reads as a loophole. The turn where it breaks open — one multiplier goes from ×8 to ×80 and the target stops mattering.Want to play it?The game is in development and heading to Steam. If this looks like your kind of nonsense, adding it to your wishlist is the single most useful thing you can do for us — it's how Steam decides whether to show the game to anyone else.

What's Next: Community Access, Fest Week, and Next Week's Update

Thank you to everyone who has sent feedback. I read every single message and I keep a record of all of it.Join the CommunityYou'll find a Join Community button below the main menu. Limited early-access test slots will be handed out there, unlocking additional characters and higher difficulties, with priority going to players who send feedback.I barely use any messaging apps in my daily life, but I do read the comments there regularly and I won't miss anything. It also lets you post screenshots, which covers the one thing the in-game F2 quick feedback can't do.This Week's PlanFrom August 18 to August 21, Rogue Circus is taking part in a Steam fest. I'll be spending those days reading and digesting feedback, so the current version stays as it is this week. The next revision lands next week.Already Fixed, Shipping Next WeekStaff created through synthesis can now take part in power upgrades. Previously, a lack of free slots would force you to delete a Staff you already had. Thanks to the player who found this one. The fix is already done, but I'm not pushing it out on its own — it will go live together with next week's update. If you want to hear about new versions and test slot openings first, hit Follow on the store page. Thanks again. Your feedback is making this game better.
