As a ruler in The Ten Thousand Li Wall, you'll design intricate supply networks and defend your growing settlements from threats. Manage resources, automate processes, and ensure your people thrive under your wise leadership.

About this game

You are the ruler of the borderlands, entrusted with a grand mission — to build the Great Wall and protect the Celestial Empire from invading forces.

A Story of Order

Starting with a small garrison and a handful of workers, you gradually expand your domain: construct buildings, lay roads, gather resources, and improve the lives of your people.

Every decision matters — where to quarry stone, how to allocate labor, and what provisions to prepare for the coming winter.

A Story of Wisdom

Follow the principles of harmony and balance: do not exhaust the land, overburden your people, or waste your resources.

If your people are fed, your roads are safe, and your granaries are full — even ten thousand li will not stand in your way.

A Story of Governance

Automate production, build warehouses and workshops, and create efficient supply chains.

Manage resources wisely to keep the Great Wall growing steadily — along with the safety and prosperity of the entire realm.

But beware — one poor decision or delayed shipment can bring construction to a standstill.

A Story of Strength

Enemy tribes will occasionally raid your lands. Victory depends not on luck, but on the strength of your army, the quality of your preparations, the wisdom of your strategy, and the faith of your people.

Every garrison, every tower, and every grain store can save hundreds of lives.

A Story of Labor, Resilience, and Balance

The Great Wall is more than a mere structure — it is a living organism. Its condition reflects the stability of your economy, the loyalty of your people, and the wisdom of their ruler.

Your task is not just to build a line of defense, but to raise a symbol of order and unity — a foundation for your nation and a testament to the enduring strength of the human spirit.

A Bit More About The Ten Thousand Li Wall

Hi! As we’ve mentioned in the previous post, The Ten Thousand Li Wall is a game inspired by the history of the Great Wall, its construction and defence. Right now, we’re focused on creating new game assets and implementing core gameplay mechanics in such a way that it would present the process of building the Great Wall in the most epic way possible. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45892512/a27c43cf60f49382f302f24e0de409d55c197e6a.pngWIPYou have probably noticed that in our teasers and screenshots the Wall appears to be far larger than it actually is. And you are correct — in reality, the Great Wall of China reaches about 6-7 meters in height (and up to 15 meters in some sections), while we want to depict it as even more massive and taller. We want to show the Wall as an impregnable bastion that keeps your people in absolute safety. Or at least, they may think so. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45892512/f528588786f46f4726a260f7f7721c6957afa1a0.pngWIPThough we draw inspiration from the history of the Ming dynasty when working on The Ten Thousand Li Wall, our goal is not historical accuracy. We want to make a game that would capture the spirit of the time, show the importance of the Great Wall, and combine it with interesting gameplay. Don’t miss more information about the game, wishlist and follow us on Steam!

    Welcome post

Hi! We’d like to tell you about our project. The idea for the game didn’t come right away. We were looking for a story where construction itself would be the core experience — where economy, labor organization, and people form a single process: large-scale, complex, and continuous. The history of building the Great Wall of China turned out to be exactly that. Vast scales, thousands of workers, complex production chains, and a constant threat from the north all come together here as one system, where every element matters. We’re not aiming to create a perfectly accurate historical simulator, but it’s important to us to convey the spirit of the era — so that players can feel the nuances of the events they are directly involved in. What the game is about This is a real-time economic strategy focused on one of the largest construction projects in human history. Players will need to build complete production chains: from clay extraction and toolmaking to organizing food and housing for workers, delivering materials to construction sites, and distributing them across warehouses. The goal is to create a functioning system where every link is in the right place and performs its role. Any mistake — a logistics failure, lack of resources, or poor planning — affects the entire system. When that happens, the massive state machine begins to break down. Challenges and responsibility Production is only one part of the challenge. You’ll also need to account for terrain and resource locations, maintain discipline among workers, take care of their well-being, and be ready to repel nomadic raids. It’s not an easy task. But if you succeed, you won’t just build a wall — you’ll create a reliable line of defense that ensures the security and development of your empire. F.A.Q. When will the game be released? The game is currently in alpha. Release is planned for late 2026. Which game engine is it built on? Unity. Who is developing the game? A small indie team of 10 people with extensive ex...
