Experience control like never before in Final Third, a casual sports game where physics dictate every move. Team up with friends for thrilling pickup matches without fixed roles or goalkeepers.

About this game

Final Third is a physics-driven football (soccer) game for up to 4v4.

The ball is an independent physics object - it never sticks to your feet. No goalkeepers, no fixed positions, and no two matches the same. Oh, and the aliens are watching!

CONTROL EVERY TOUCH

Trapping is an input, not a state. So is shielding, turning, and every pass you thread. Nothing is automatic - a good first touch is earned, not handed to you.

Take to the field and let your skills flow. Whether you’re slipping past tackles, breaking through defenses, or dribbling through the midfield, every touch is yours.

EACH PLAYER COUNTS

Up to 4v4, with no fixed positions and no assigned defenders.

Team up with other players in fast, pick-up soccer where every moment shapes the flow of the game. There are no fixed roles in Final Third, so everyone can create space, press attacks and build chances together.

Individuals inspire wins, teams earn them.

THE GOAL BELONGS TO THE TEAM

In Final Third, there’s no goalkeeper, just you, your teammates, and the moment you create together.

Goals are protected by walls that respond to power, precision, and pressure, turning every shot into a chance to shift the rhythm of the match.

When the wall shakes, the box comes alive. Loose balls, rebounds, second touches, these are the moments where instinct meets teamwork, and where matches are won.

Read the chaos, crash the space, and fight for the final touch.

In Final Third, goals aren’t saved or conceded, they’re earned.

REINVENT EVERY MATCH

Bring up to 12 Perks into a match. At every trigger - kickoff, each minute, every goal - three are offered at random from your set. They reset when the match ends.

No build carries over. What you bring is a loadout; what you do with it is the match.

A SOCIAL EXPERIENCE

The Hub is your space to unwind, run around, watch ongoing matches, join spontaneous pickup games, or just hang out with other players.

It’s the spirit of real pickup soccer, brought to life in a new way.

TO RULE THE FIELD

An ultra-advanced alien race has mastered everything except soccer.
Too many legs, no control, so they abduct humans as test subjects to learn the game.

They bring the tech.
You bring the legs.
Show them how it’s actually done.

    Alpha Test #1 - Begins April 23

TL;DR Alpha Test will run between April 23 - April 29. Test window will opening times: 19:00 - 01:00 every day (EDT)16:00 - 22:00 every day (PDT) Join our Discord: LINK Hello everyone! Our pre-alpha window has finally concluded, and before we talk about the future, we would like to thank all of those who have joined us over the last few months. We’ve been building Final Third with a feedback first mentality, and the moment to moment gameplay has seen great improvements since our very first pre-alpha test half a year ago. What is Final Third? Final Third is a social, physics based soccer game. You control one player on the field, and join matches of up to 8 people in a match. You can run around the world, watch other matches, and also hone your skills in the plaza and training modes. What sets us apart is the control. While other titles will hold your hand while dribbling forward and keep the ball at your feet, Final Third puts the ball control at your finger tips. Every touch, trap and shot is 100% under your control. Alpha Test #1 We’re confident enough with the progress made so far to move ourselves from the pre-alpha name to an alpha! While we feel that we’ve nailed the moment to moment gameplay, these tests will be us adding additional layers to the game. We’re adding customization, missions, shops, statues, team-making assists and more. It is important for us to tell you that nothing is final. We still need your feedback to continue to shape Final Third into a game that we can all enjoy, and we can’t do so without feedback. Whether you dislike the new customization options or visuals, or whether you really like them, we’re looking for opinions on all of it to build the game more. So join us on the field between the following times and dates. Test Dates: Daily from April 23 to April 29, 2026 Test Windows: 19:00 - 01:00 every day (EDT)16:00 - 22:00 every day (PDT) Giving Feedback Building a game should be a communal experience. You will be the ones playing it, and...

April Update Preview 2: Statues, Emotes, Spectator Mode

Well hello there! We’re back with another peak at our biggest update yet to Final Third. You’ve already seen the new team area, customization and face off screens, and today we’re going to talk a little bit about ranking statues, new emotes, and Spectator Cam! Statues Everything you do in a Final Third match is scored. Whether you are dribbling past a team, or finding space and positioning well, you score points. Each match, we use these points to highlight key players, award exp and more. We also keep track of the highest performing players on each pitch over a longer cycle, and to reward stand out performances, we’ve introduced statues to public areas. These statues will highlight key players, their outfits, and be visible from literally every angle of the plaza! Will you score enough points to have your avatar on the plinth? New Emotes Emote spamming is an important part of Final Third. Whether you score a goal from 30 yards or just chilling in the plaza, showing off your style is integral to the experience. We’ve added a bunch of new emotes for you to show off your style, and celebrate in the most elaborate of fashions! Draw me like one of your french ladies - This guy, probably. Spectator ModeWe’ve added a new spectator mode allowing you to watch the match from the sidelines, and get the best view in the house! As you approach a pitch, you can press V on a keyboard or D-pad Left on a controller to activate the spectator camera. With the camera settings, you can either free-cam your way into the action, or let our (slightly not finished yet) automatic camera take the reigns. Weekly Playtests Our Weekly playtests will soon be drawing to a close, as we need to apply and test updates on our live servers. We have 2 weekly tests left for you to join, so if you haven't already done so, feel free to get a taste of what Final Third is before this bigger April update is applied (towards the end of April). Hitting Request access will give you the chance to join us at the f...

    Thursday Evening Playtest

Hi there, Looking for something new to play this Thursday evening? We're adding an additional playtest date for you to get in on the soccer action. Whether you're fresh to this kind of soccer game, or a seasoned veteran, we're looking for your feedback on helping us build this title out. Thursday April 2nd Playtest ⏰9 pm - 11 pm (EDT) 🕰️6 pm - 8 pm (PDT) How to Join the PlaytestHead to our storepage, and follow the clip below! Weekly Playtest FAQQ: What is Final Third? A: We're building a physics based soccer game where every touch of the ball is yours to control. When you're dribbling the ball, you need to time your movements and key presses to ensure that the ball travels with you. We've also done away with goalkeepers. In Final Third, a block wall stands in your goalmouth, and you will need to break down the wall to open an opportunity to score. Q: Are we allowed to invite friends?A: Yes, we’re going to be allowing a certain number of friend invites into the tests. We still want to keep it manageable though, so we might turn that feature off in the future. Q: Are we still under NDA?A: No. We appreciate you guys for keeping this under wraps so far, but the team feels like you should be allowed to showcase the game on your social media, twitch channels and YouTube videos. All we ask is that you make it REALLY clear that we’re in the early stages of bringing this title to market, and that it is a work in progress.

April Update Preview - Plaza Updates and Customization

Hello everyone! We’re still developing the April update for Final Third. We’ve had a lot of feedback and suggestions from players who played during our pre-alpha tests, and we’re still trying to bring as much of that as possible to the next test. We’re working hard on improving tackling, the overall feel of the game, and so many other things that we want to show you. But they’re not quite ready to showcase. Today we’re going to take a look at some of the changes that have happened to the Plaza, some of the customization options, and also get some input on something we’ve been debating internally. Looking For Team We've added a small "Looking for Team" area near the team pitches to make it easier to find players who are looking to join premade teams. One of our main directions with Final Third is to recreate the idea of pickup soccer, so building a little area to easily find other players to play with felt super natural for us. Character CustomizingWe’re also bringing character customization to Final Third. You’ll be able to mix body types with different faces and hair styles to truly create something unique to you. Here are just a couple of our creations so far. The whole customization feature is still in development, so it still looks just a little rough, but we hope it gives you an idea of what we're aiming for with our customization systems. And this is where we need your input. We’re currently working on implementing costumes and outfits for characters. Should all outfits be available to all (regardless of gender), be gender locked, or a mix of both? We are currently debating internally which option is the best, and figured it would be better to ask you guys instead of guessing how you would feel about it! You can join our discord and vote on our polls, or leave comments to this post and we'll add your choices to the final poll results. We wanted to give you an example of what we were thinking of, so we mocked up the following: Face OffWe also want to show one of...
