About this game

Dive into the Rift. Hoard riches. Become a legend.

Plunge into collapsing dimensions in Rift Miner, a unique 3D voxel roguelite. Mine valuable resources against the clock, return to the hub with your haul, and invest in powerful permanent upgrades. Every venture is different—what treasures will you extract from the depths before time runs out?

About this game

DIG. UPGRADE. SURVIVE. REPEAT.

In Rift Miner, every dive into the Rift is a fresh, high-stakes run. Enter shifting, fully destructible voxel worlds whose handcrafted structures are filled with procedurally distributed ores. Your goal: extract as many resources as possible and escape through the portal before the timer hits zero.

No two runs are the same. Discover powerful Echo Cards that grant game-changing bonuses for a single run. Combine cards to create incredible synergies: unleash automated drone swarms to farm for you, trigger seismic shockwaves that clear entire caverns, or overcharge your pickaxe with kinetic energy to shatter whole pillars of rock in a single swing.

Back in the safety of the hub, your progress is permanent. Use your spoils to permanently upgrade your gear, unlock new abilities, customize the shape of your drill head, and even research new Rift types. Every purchase makes you stronger, letting you push into deeper, richer, and more dangerous worlds.

Ready to test your luck? For the boldest miners, there are the high-risk "Deeper Rifts": a chain of worlds with a fixed timer where you’ll find no additional Echo Cards—but earn massive bonuses for every loop survived. One mistake, and the entire haul from the chain is lost.

How deep will you dare to dig?

Features

  • Satisfying roguelite loop: No run is the same. The perfect mix of permanent progression and run-based builds.

  • Fully destructible 3D voxel worlds: Carve your own path through diverse, handcrafted mines that are freshly repopulated with ores on every visit.

  • Deep permanent upgrade system: Invest in dozens of upgrades to permanently improve your tools, abilities, and odds of survival.

  • Synergies via over 32 Echo Cards: Discover and combine cards to create unique, overpowered builds for every run.

  • Unleash drone swarms: Find powerful Echo Cards to activate automated drones that mine independently and maximize your efficiency.

  • Customizable drill: Shape your drill head on a 3x3 grid to optimize your mining strategy.

  • High-risk endgame "Deeper Rifts": Face the ultimate "Push Your Luck" challenge for massive rewards.

  • Leaderboards: Compete with other players to see who survives the deepest Deeper Rifts loop and gathers the most resources.

From the Rift to the Moon - Meet My Next Game, NARON

From the Rift to the MoonHey everyone - Lars here. This page is usually all about Rift Miner, but I'm borrowing it for one small piece of shameless cross-promotion: my next game, NARON, now has a Steam page.NARON isn't Rift Miner 2, and it isn't meant to replace it. But the two games clearly come from the same part of my brain: unstable worlds, valuable resources, roguelite runs, and the persistent question of whether going one level deeper is a terrible idea.Visit NARON on Steam and add it to your wishlist What Rift Miner and NARON shareIn Rift Miner, you're on your own. You mine against the clock, grab everything you can, and make it back through the portal before time runs out. Echo Cards, permanent upgrades, and the high-risk Deeper Rifts let you push each run further.NARON shifts that pressure from the clock to the crew.Rift Miner asks: How much can you extract before time runs out? NARON asks: How far can your crew descend before the moon collapses around you? What NARON does differentlyNARON is a co-op mining roguelite for 1-4 players. Together, you descend twenty depths into a dying moon aboard a massive drillship.Together, not alone. You mine, fight, and improvise as a crew. Objectives, not just extraction. Every depth gives you a job. The drillship will not move until you complete it.Choose your route. At the route table, you can see two depths ahead and vote on where the crew goes next.Risk versus reward. The safer route gives you less. The dangerous one gives you more. Once you've chosen, there is no turning back.If the crew falls, the run is over - and you begin again with everything you learned along the way. When can you play it?The first Steam Playtest will take place in October 2026. The public demo will launch for Steam Next Fest in February 2027.The playtest will focus on putting the core loop, balancing, and crew dynamics under pressure as early as possible. The Next Fest demo will be NARON's first proper introduction to a wider audience.I'll shar...

    Rift Miner v1.0.4

Fix: Successfully removed lag caused by music track changes. Fix: Demo completion times were mistakenly carried over as normal full-version completion times. Improvement: Further hardened rare edge cases where the player could glitch through the map, reducing the chance of this happening even more. Balancing: Increased the range of the initial Destruction Sphere from 1.5 to 1.75. This allows blocks above the player to be destroyed as well while the Aura is active at Level 1.
