About this game

Pocket Racer Shop Sim

Build. Customize. Race. Collect.

Pocket Racer Shop Sim is a chill shop simulator with deep racing customization. Run your dream shop as you expand your shop floor size and inventory offering. Open up the booster packs to collect new parts with various stats to improve your Pocket Racer's performance.

Design Your Shop

Paint the walls, floors and ceilings as well as adjust the lighting to dial in the vibe of your shop. Purchase decorations to further express your shop's style. Change every piece of furniture on the shop floor from tracks to shelves to create a space that feels completely your own.

Collect Parts

Open booster packs to start collecting new parts for your Pocket Racer garage. To build the best Pocket Racer you'll need to chase rare finds and constantly refine your cars' setups based on the track layouts.

Build & Tune Your Racer

Using the workbench you'll be able to mix and match parts to adjust performance to meet the track conditions. Every part has a rating that will affect your car's overall rating. This allows players to min max for the best car at each rating allowing players to restrict races by rating level or hold open races to see who can build the ultimate machine.

Race, Progress, & Unlock New Tracks

Take your assembled Pocket Racers out onto the track against shoppers or friends online. As your shop expands you'll unlock more tracks to race on and require mastering but with your shop expansion comes more difficult competition.

Track Builder

Check out the Track Builder app to design your own custom race track creations. Workshop integration is planned allowing players to share their builds and download other players' tracks giving you loads of variety.

Multiplayer

Invite your friends over to your shop to help run the store or throw down on your latest track setup. Multiplayer is designed so players can take their singleplayer progression online with friends while bringing back anything purchased from those sessions to their own shop. This creates a seamless experience allowing you to jump in and out of each other's shops whether it be just visiting or helping run a busy day.

    Demo Launch September 1st

The Demo Launches September 1st!Posted by: That One Guy Loki from That One Game StudioThe day has finally come that the demo will be launching. After over a year of development and months of public playtesting we have made it. I'm excited to announce that Pocket Racer Shop Sim's Demo launches Tuesday, September 1st!The wait is only 3 days.I have been working heavily on refining the demo from all the playtest feedback. The biggest bit of feedback I received was around the multiplayer experience. "Why can't we run the shop together?" Well.... now you can.Multiplayer OriginsMultiplayer was originally designed around a simple idea and that was allowing players to join each other's shops as just a customer. You could purchase stock from the store and race against each on the tracks in the shop. The important piece was that you could take your offline save and join your friend online with your whole inventory of cars you have been tinkering. This by itself felt like a pretty solid idea but the feedback was obvious that this was not the normal experience players expected. New Multiplayer RolesTo address the issues with multiplayer I added some new Shop Roles that players can be granted. The default is still shopper and when you host your session you can choose the default for joining players. In game you can also change this default at any point as well. Any joined players active or offline can also have their role updated while in game under your "Multiplayer" app. There are currently 3 new roles to pick from depending on the level of permissions you wish to grant players.ShopperThis is the original multiplayer experience of joined players only allowed to purchase items and race on tracks but cannot help run the shop at all.I feel this permission is ideal for public lobbies or just quick race nights with friends.Store HelpPlayers with this role are able to work the cash register, restock shelves, and help customers who need assistance. These players will still have to pay ...

    Shopper Services Update

Shopper Services UpdatePosted by: That One Guy Loki from That One Game StudioHey everyone,Another update is already here! One thing I've been focusing on lately is giving you more reasons to actually interact with your shoppers. Running a Pocket Racer shop shouldn't just be about keeping the shelves stocked and ringing people up. You're also the person everyone comes to when they need some Pocket Racer expertise. This update introduces a new way to help shoppers directly at your Workbenches, along with an entirely new way to grow your business through online orders. You're the Pocket Racer ExpertShoppers can now come to your Workbenches looking for help with their cars. You'll currently encounter two different types of requests.Build a New CarSometimes a shopper has picked up a brand new car kit but needs a little help putting everything together. They'll bring their new kit over to the Workbench and ask you to assemble the car for them.Put your tinkering skills to work, finish the build, and you'll earn some extra money along with a very happy new Pocket Racer owner.Replace a Broken PartOther shoppers may arrive with a car that's seen better days. When something breaks, they'll bring the car to your Workbench and ask for help replacing the damaged part.Get them back up and running and you'll once again earn some extra cash while improving that shopper's satisfaction with your store. These interactions are a small but important step toward making shoppers feel like actual hobbyists instead of simply customers walking through the store. They buy cars, they race them, they break them and sometimes they need the local expert to bail them out. That's you.Take Your Shop OnlineYour local customers aren't the only people interested in what you're selling anymore.A new Online Fulfillment Kiosk can now be unlocked through a Staff Room upgrade, opening your shop up to online orders.New orders will become available for you to review and accept. Once you've taken an order, it's up to yo...

    Stocker Update

Stocker UpdatePosted by: That One Guy Loki from That One Game StudioHey everyone,This update is all about helping your shop feel more alive and a little less hectic. As your business grows, keeping shelves stocked starts becoming just as important as helping customers and organizing your collection. So this update introduces the first new staff role since the Cashier, along with a few additions that continue pushing the shop toward feeling like a true Pocket Racer hobby store.Meet the StockerThe newest hire has arrived. You can now hire a Stocker through the STAFFROOM app to help keep your shelves full while you focus on running the rest of the shop. The Stocker will:Collect newly delivered order boxes from outside the shop.Refill your shelves throughout the day.Store any leftover inventory neatly on the storage shelves in the Staff Room.No more sprinting back and forth trying to keep your best selling items available while customers are waiting.Epic Part Booster PackLooking for even better upgrades? The new Epic Part Booster Pack has arrived. These packs offer improved odds of finding higher tier parts, making them a great option for players chasing stronger builds or looking to complete their ultimate race car.Sometimes you just need a little more luck on your side.A More Authentic Hobby ShopOne change you may notice is that the food items have been removed from the shop. After talking with players and spending more time with the game, I realized they never really fit the experience I wanted to create. They made the shop feel more like a convenience store than a dedicated Pocket Racer hobby shop.In their place are a variety of themed accessories that feel much more at home on the shelves, including:Bearing LubricantGear GreasePit MatsToolboxesThey're simple additions, but they do a much better job of reinforcing the atmosphere and have much better profit margins.Looking AheadWith the Stocker now helping behind the scenes, the shop is beginning to feel much more alive.I'...

    Track Builder Update

Track Builder UpdatePosted by: That One Guy Loki from That One Game StudioHey everyone,I had originally planned for this update to come a little later, but I managed to wrap everything up sooner than expected.I'm also trying something new by moving toward more frequent, smaller updates instead of waiting for one huge monthly drop. It means you'll get new features in your hands sooner, and I get feedback a whole lot faster. This update is all about giving players more creative freedom, both on and off the track.Build Beyond the GridThe Track Builder has received one of its biggest upgrades yet.New 45-degree track pieces let you break away from the traditional grid and create layouts with much smoother flowing corners and entirely new track shapes. As if that wasn't enough, you can now build vertically using new Ramp Up and Ramp Down transitions.Tracks are no longer limited to a flat floor.Create bridges.Create overpasses.Create elevation changes.Or just build something completely ridiculous.Add Some ColorEvery track piece can now be individually colored, making it easier than ever to create your own unique raceways.Whether you're building realistic circuits or colorful fantasy layouts, the Track Builder now gives you much more creative control over how your creations look.Meet the ATMThe shop has a brand new furniture item. The ATM gives newly spawned shoppers a much larger spending budget before they even begin shopping. If they happen to run low on cash, they'll also make one withdrawal during their visit to continue spending.Best of all...Every withdrawal earns you a $5 transaction fee, providing a little source of passive income while helping customers keep shopping.Smarter Shopper InteractionsShoppers are becoming more proactive shoppers and they'll now:Walk up to the register and ask for help finding products.Offer to sell parts directly to you. These little interactions help the shop feel much more alive and create more reasons to stay engaged throughout the day.1...

    Build Your Collection

Build Your Collection UpdatePosted by: That One Guy Loki from That One Game StudioHey everyone,This month's update is all about expanding one of my favorite parts of Pocket Racer Shop Sim... collecting, building, and managing your growing collection of racers.Whether you're hunting for rare parts, assembling the perfect build, or organizing your shop, this update adds a lot of new tools to help make your collection feel more personal and rewarding.Build Cars From ScratchOne feature I've wanted for a long time is finally here.If you've accumulated a pile of spare parts from opening booster packs, you can now head over to the Workbench and build an entirely new car from scratch.Already have a car that isn't performing the way you'd hoped? You can now dismantle existing cars back into their individual parts, making it easier to experiment with new builds without starting over.Every Racer Deserves a NameOnce you've built the perfect machine, it's time to make it yours.Cars can now be given custom names, making it much easier to organize your favorite builds and show off your collection.Whether you create serious race cars or come up with ridiculous names, that's entirely up to you.Car Tier RatingsAs your collection grows, it becomes easier to lose track of which cars are built for casual races and which are absolute monsters. To help with that, every completed car now receives a Tier Rating based on its overall performance. This not only makes your garage easier to manage, but also opens up some fun new possibilities for racing.Tier Restricted RacesRace hosts can now restrict races to specific car tiers.Want an event where everyone's using beginner builds? No problem.Want to see who has built the strongest machine possible?Go for it.This helps create more balanced races while giving every build a chance to shine.Track RecordsBragging rights are now permanent.Tracks now keep record of the fastest completion time, giving everyone another reason to keep tweaking builds and cha...
