About this game
Grow a realm that learns to protect itself
Karma Keepers is a chill incremental strategy game about restoring wandering souls, building a Faith economy, and tuning a realm that gets busier as it grows.
You start collecting Faith from Totems, restore souls before corruption reaches them, and choose the upgrades that open new jobs. Over time, more of the routine work can be automated, but the realm still needs your decisions when pressure builds.
Automate the work, not the decisions
Restore Lost Souls into Keepers, then spawn the roles your realm needs next. Some feed your economy. Some keep resources moving. Some defend the realm when things go wrong.
Use Prayers and Extractors to move Faith and Aether through Totems.
Use Recollectors to gather loose Faith before it fades.
Use Keeper Warriors, Evangelists, and Sacred Walkers to fight, restore, and stabilize souls under pressure.
Build a setup that keeps Faith flowing, stands up to Corruption Waves, and moves more souls toward becoming Eternals.
Keep corruption from turning your realm against you
Corruption Waves reduce the Karma of every soul in your realm. If a Lost Soul falls too low, it becomes a Shadow. If an Incursion begins, Shadows enter the realm and start breaking the setup you were relying on.
You can intervene and help, unlock better roles, improve your Totems, or push upgrades that make the next wave easier to survive. A calm realm can become a problem fast if you ignore the timer.
Push Karma tiers and break Demon gates
Collected Faith becomes Karma through your realm's Influence. Fill the Karma Bar to earn Ascension Points and push toward the next tier.
Higher Karma tiers bring Demon Incursions. Demons arrive with shields and block further progress until you deal with them. Break their shields, defeat them, and open the next stretch of the run.
Use Blessings, Miracles, and Rebirth to scale faster
Blessings improve the current realm: better Faith value, stronger Totems, new Keeper roles, safer Incursions, and more automation.
Miracles are larger upgrades bought with Aether. They unlock new upgrade branches and improve whole systems at once.
Divine Rebirth ends the current realm, keeps your Ascension Points, and lets you buy permanent Ascension Upgrades before starting again with a stronger foundation.
For players who like automation with a little pressure
Karma Keepers is for players who enjoy upgrade trees, resource loops, automation, and watching small systems grow into a self-running setup.
Expect a calm loop with pressure spikes: guide souls, shore up weak spots before Corruption Waves, break Demon gates, and rebirth into a stronger realm.

Update 1.2 is here! Less holding, clearer tutorials, and better gamepad support
Hi everyone! When Update 1.1 came out I said it was only a start and I really meant it. Thank you to everyone who has played and sent feedback. A lot of the changes in these two updates came directly from your comments, reviews, bug reports, and Discord messages. Since launch I've been going through the parts of Karma Keepers that felt harder to understand or more tiring than they needed to be. Update 1.1 added Hold Assist, clearer paths through the Blessing tree, bulk summoning, and the first round of fixes. Update 1.2 keeps going. The game itself is still the same... you restore souls, build up your economy, and slowly get your realm to run itself. These updates are about making it easier and more comfortable to reach that point. If you liked the idea of the game but bounced off because the beginning felt confusing or too "click heavy", I'd like you to try this version. You can just hover nowThis is probably the biggest change in 1.2. Before, looking after your realm meant a lot of clicking and holding. It worked, but after a while it could be a bit much. World interaction now uses Hover by default. Move over a Totem to extract Faith. Hover over a Lost Soul to restore its Karma. Move over Shadows or Demons to fight them. That's it. The old Hold Assist option has also been split into two choices.Choose Hover or Hold for World InteractionChoose Hold or Click for Purchases and Upgrades You can mix them however you like. If you preferred the old controls, Hold is still there. If you want fewer repeated inputs, Hover and Click do most of the work. Gamepads and handhelds work better tooGamepad support got a lot of work in this update. You can now play Karma Keepers with a controller through the menus, tutorials, and the game itself. It also works on Steam Deck and other handheld PCs. The left stick moves the camera and the right stick moves the cursor, so it feels natural once you pick it up. I haven't added proper gamepad button icons yet, but the controls themselves w...Read full article on Community Announcements (YonazDev)Patch NotesOfficial
The first post-launch update is here!
Hi everyone! Karma Keepers is finally out. Honestly, I'm still getting used to that. Launch week was a lot, but seeing people start their first realms and hearing what you think has made it worth it. Thank you to everyone who has played, reported a bug, left a review, or told me when something didn't make sense. The launch made pretty clear that the beginning of the game can be confusing. I've played so many times that I know what every button and upgrade is meant to do, which isn't the same as explaining it well to someone playing for the first time. That's on me, and I'm working on it. This update won't solve all of that, but it's a start. What's new?Hold Assist There's a lot of clicking and holding in Karma Keepers. That can get tiring, and it isn't comfortable for everyone, so there is now a Hold Assist option under Accessibility in the Settings menu. Turn it on and you can tap Space to keep interacting with the world under your cursor. Tap it again to stop. Purchases and upgrades also change to a single click instead of a hold. A little help through the Blessing tree The Blessing tree has also been a common point of confusion. It gives you a lot of choices before you know which upgrades will start automating the work. Important Blessings that lead toward early automation now have a marker. Hover over one to see the upgrades that will get you there. You can still build your realm however you like. The marker is only there if you want a little direction. Summon five souls at once This is a small one, but useful. Hold Shift while summoning from the Realm menu to summon up to five souls at once. Growing a busy realm should be a little less repetitive now. No more souls behind the minimap! (Well, mostly...)A lot of you reported souls disappearing behind the minimap, and yes, they seemed very fond of that corner. When the camera is near the bottom-right of the realm, souls will now try to steer away from the area underneath it. The "mostly" is there because they are ...Read full article on Community Announcements (YonazDev)AnnouncementsOfficial
Karma Keepers is out now!
Hi everyone! Karma Keepers is out now on Steam. This is my first game. I've spent almost two years making it on my own, including the engine underneath it. I've looked at these tiny souls for so long that seeing a Buy button where the Wishlist button used to be feels a little unreal. To celebrate the release, Karma Keepers is 40% off for the first two weeks. What kind of game is it?Karma Keepers is a chill idle/incremental strategy game about building a realm that can eventually run itself. You begin with a Totem and a few Lost Souls drifting around it. Restore them into Keepers, give them jobs, and build a Faith economy around them. The work is hands-on at first, but Blessings and Miracles gradually automate the routine and leave you to decide how the realm should grow. It won't stay peaceful forever. Corruption Waves undo your progress, Shadows try to claim Lost Souls, and Demons stand between you and the next Karma tier. Your Keepers can learn to protect the realm, but they may still need a little help from above. What will you be doing? Restore Lost Souls and give your Keepers different jobs as the realm's needs change.Build a Faith economy and automate work that once needed your attention.Survive Corruption Waves, Shadow Incursions, and Demons that block your progress.Unlock Blessings and Miracles that change how your realm grows and defends itself.Use Divine Rebirth, spend Ascension Points on permanent upgrades, and begin the next realm with a stronger plan. If you played the demo Thank you. The released game continues beyond the demo with more Karma tiers, Miracles, Demons, and permanent progression through Ascension Upgrades and Divine Rebirth. Demo saves do not transfer to the full game, so you will need to begin a new realm. Platforms and languages Karma Keepers is available on Windows and macOS. Steam Deck support still needs some work. I plan to improve it in a follow-up update. You can play in English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean,...Read full article on Community Announcements (YonazDev)AnnouncementsOfficial
Demo 1.0 is live! Full release on August 13
Hi everyone! The Karma Keepers demo has reached version 1.0. The demo had fallen several months behind the full game, so I have finally brought it back up to date. This should be the last major demo update before release. What changed? There is no single huge feature in this update. Most of the work went into making the whole game feel better:Updated balance and progressionController and input improvementsA clearer interfaceMore visual and sound polishSave improvements and plenty of bug fixes What can you play in the demo? The demo takes you through the beginning of your first realm. Restore Lost Souls, give your Keepers jobs, build a Faith economy, and automate more of the work as your realm grows. You will also face Corruption Waves, Shadow Incursions, and the Demons blocking your first Karma tier. Once you reach the demo limit, you can keep playing your current realm. You just will not be able to unlock any more Karma tiers or Miracles. The full game launches August 13Karma Keepers launches on Steam on August 13, 2026. The full version continues beyond the demo with more Karma tiers, Miracles, Demons, and permanent progression through Ascension Upgrades and Divine Rebirth. Platforms and languagesDemo 1.0 is available now on Windows and macOS. It also runs well on Steam Deck through Proton using the Windows build. Karma Keepers can currently be played in English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, and Simplified Chinese. I am making Karma Keepers solo, and it is my first game. If you enjoy the demo, wishlisting the full game really helps this close to release. Thanks to everyone who played the earlier demo and sent feedback. If you find a bug or something does not make sense, please let me know. Thanks for playing!Read full article on Community Announcements (YonazDev)AnnouncementsOfficial
