Dracanea: The Ragtag Regalia is a comedy adventure game where Riker, an ex-teen-hero, now lives life as a fully-grown, slightly washed-up celebrity who longs for the adventure he experienced as a kid.
Ever wondered what happens to all those teen heroes in every fantasy story AFTER they save the day from a world-ending threat? Well, they may grow up, but they never lose their sense of adventure. That's where Riker comes in! And alongside his sharp-tongued partner Eevie, he must rally a crew of oddball heroes to stop the Rebel Army’s plot to conquer the kingdom of Dracanea!
Featuring a cast of grown-up adults, it tells a classic fantasy RPG story through the lens of characters who pay taxes, have relationships, and occasionally experience knee pain. Featuring classic exploration and tool-based puzzles, it lets you crawl through dungeons looking for keys, then switches to turn-based battles with button-input actions that let you power up your attacks instead of just sitting back and mashing the A button for 30 hours straight!

Overview
Dracanea: The Ragtag Regalia takes cues from oldschool 2D RPGs while playfully subverting classic tropes, striking a balance between ridiculous character-driven humor and dramatic storytelling.
After living a grown-up life of mundane luxury, Riker Tierros is called back into action, alongside his better-half Eevie Green, and his best friend Christoph Albus. The King of Dracanea plans to explore outside their kingdom's shores, but a looming rebel movement seeks to thwart the crown's actions for their own nefarious deeds. What nefarious deeds? No one really knows. But they're super evil, that's for sure.

If you're new here, here's a few helpful tips for learning all about Dracanea and have the most fun possible!As a refresher for those who are brand new, Dracanea: The Ragtag Regalia is a comedy-adventure RPG featuring a huge cast of weirdo, grown-up heroes led by a washed-up celebrity hero named Riker! It's a mishmash of turn-based RPG combat with adventure game exploration featuring tools, puzzles, and dungeons.Looking for the demo page? We got you covered!If you're new or unfamiliar with Steam, you might miss our demo button! The special Preview Demo does have its own page, but you can easily access the demo from our main page right here by clicking the Download Demo button circled above in the image.Be mindful that Dracanea is still currently in development, for release in Summer 2027! As such, this preview demo may contain bugs or glitches, which should not significantly impact gameplay. If you do encounter a bug, don't panic! Demo Update! Big List of Bug Fixes!
Greetings, adventurers! Dracanea: The Ragtag Regalia has received a chunky update patch to some of the issues players have found in its early-access demo!Fixed an issue where characters would not always be revived from KO when staying at an Inn or resting at a campsite.Fixed the opening intro sequence when selecting a control scheme and the controller layout not displaying properly.Changed various menus (Party Chat, etc) so that they cannot be opened while a different menu is open.Fixed an issue where the World Map would become stuck while using Classic Controller control type, requiring the use of a keyboard to progress.Fixed an issue where players could get stuck in the classroom in Artemisia if they entered during a certain part of the story.Changed hitbox for doors on buildings so that you don't accidentally enter doors just by walking past them.Fixed some incorrect portraits for certain NPCs.Updated foods and other items to display their effects in basic text, next to the full description.Adjusted difficulty of the Golem mini-boss to make it easier to win.Fixed issue that made numerous items (foods, ingredients, loot, etc) unable to be sold at shops.Increased money rewards from numerous monsters to adjust spending power in-game.Updated battle skill descriptions to show controller buttons when Classic Controller or Modern Controller are selected.Fixed a UI bug where selecting a character in battle would sometimes format the selection box oddly and jumble the character's name.A bunch of other minor bug fixes/glitches/oddities.As a reminder, you can report bugs or problems on the official Dracanea discord! Dracanea: The Ragtag Regalia is entering its final year of development and progress is moving along nicely! This ain't one of those "Give us $50,000 and we vanish" style Kickstarters!) to help flesh out our voice talent and artwork.
