About this game
Trapped is a 2.5D scifi side scrolling platformer, where by a series of unfortunate events, you the player, have ended up inside a computer, where you need to find out how to escape the computer that you have been trapped inside of. Why are you here and what caused you to be in this position?
Trapped takes inspiration from classic platformers, as well as other old games, when secrets weren't so easy to find in the games.
Currently, there is only a jog, run, and jump. There are two types of collectables, coins, and gems. 100 coins will gain you an extra life, and each gem you collect will grant you an extra life. At the end of the game there is a high score, based on coins collected, gems collected, and lives lost. There are also counters to let you know how many you collected out of the total.
There is currently no story in the game, that will come later. There is also currently no background music, I was working on some, but didn't feel the quality was good enough, so I pulled it.
Current Background music is by Teknoaxe, and is called Love on a Starship - Remastered.

An Update on what's going on
It has been some time since I have given any updates on the game. Progress is being made, even if a little bit slower than I would like. One of the things that I have been working on the most is the inventory screen. The programming for it all doesn't take too much time, it's just the designing of the sprites for everything. The image above, which still doesn't have official names or images, shows all of the collectables that will be in the game. My idea for the game is to only have collectables that serve a purpose and have meaning to the game. I didn't want to incorporate collectables just for the sake of having collectables or for padding.I have also been coming up with ideas and working on redesigning the backgrounds of the levels. The backgrounds that are currently there, were more for me to get a concept of what I would like. It also helped with the early access release so that it wasn't so barren feeling when others would play it. But I wasn't happy with it, it still feels lifeless, which is why I am working on the redesign. There are many other things in the works, but I will wait on talking about them until I have some stuff more fleshed out. So until then, Thanks for playing.Read full article on Community Announcements (Sw1ftW1ngs)Patch NotesOfficial
A Little Update
I have been working on the story for the game, it is taking me a bit of time to figure out how it should be presented to the player and in a manner that would make sense to the player and not just me, knowing the story and all.I have also been working on building more levels, which isn't too challenging, but does take quite a bit of time. There will be more updates to come, so just stand by for more.BTW...this update was available 2 weeks ago on my FREE Patreon.Read full article on Community Announcements (Sw1ftW1ngs)Patch NotesOfficial
