About this game
ENTER NEUROXUS PROTOCOL
You awaken with no memory and no purpose — only a final directive left behind by a dead world:
Finish the war.
End Nexis.
You are the last surviving war machine of an extinct species, rebooted to destroy the quantum AI that seized Earth and erased all life.
There will be no rescue.
There will be no rebuilding.
Only termination.
A WORLD FORGED BY MACHINES
You dismantle the Nexis network through six hostile industrial zones: military bunkers, chemical refineries, sewer systems, offshore platforms, dense server complexes, and an orbital facility above a lifeless planet. Each operation fractures another layer of the machine hierarchy, drawing you closer to the Nexis core — and to the realization that nothing remains to reclaim.
EVOLVE INTO A KILLING SYSTEM
Combat is precise, tactical, and unforgiving.
Every system in your chassis has purpose: energy routing, shield control, armament synergy, and movement efficiency.
Victory depends on timing, positioning, and disciplined power use — not spectacle alone.
Defeated bosses unlock new armaments, expanding your combat options and deepening the tactical layer as the campaign advances.
RIP THROUGH HOSTILE MACHINES
Face swarms of autonomous drones, entrenched turrets, advancing humanoid frames, elite combat units, lethal industrial hazards, and the Echoes of Nexis that overwhelm arenas with reinforcements.
Nine warforms stand between you and the core.
Every machine is active.
Every machine is hostile.
Every machine must fall.
ELIMINATE NEXIS
Break the final defenses.
Breach the orbital core.
Shut down the last machine capable of ending you.

NEUROXUS | Major Polish & Gameplay Refinement Update
I’ve been refining several core gameplay systems over the last weeks. The biggest focus was combat feel. The assault rifle has been refined with stronger impact response, clearer hit feedback, and improved weapon presence. Shots now land with more weight and feel more decisive in combat. The sword has received additional tuning to enhance weight, impact clarity, and combat responsiveness. Close-quarters encounters now feel more grounded and deliberate. The rocket launcher features upgraded explosion effects with increased battlefield presence and improved readability during high-intensity arena fights.Red Horizon and Cold Snap have also been updated with new visual and impact effects, bringing them in line with the enhanced sword and rocket improvements.Enemy stagger reactions have been expanded and refined, improving combat feedback and making damage response more readable and satisfying.I also refined enemy health feedback to make damage more readable without cluttering the screen.Targeting behavior is being improved gradually. The goal is better control in high-intensity encounters without removing player precision. Some pacing and difficulty smoothing was done in early and mid encounters. The challenge is still high, but readability and flow are better.More adjustments are coming as new feedback and reviews continue.Steam page:Read full article on Community Announcements (empyreumstudio)Patch NotesOfficial
