On Air! Taxi Detective Casebook is a pixel-art, dialogue-driven detective game.
You are an intelligent assistant living inside a taxi. Team up with a chatty, perpetually stressed driver: work the small hours, worry about a fragile platform rating, listen to bizarre passenger stories, and quietly solve a few strange cases along the way. You’re the hidden detective behind the scenes; he’s the face who says it out loud. You think; he “solves.”
Gameplay Overview
Scan every remark for breakthroughs—a ticket stub, a brief recording, a timestamp. Each “Keyword” matters. Filter and combine them to surface the “Clues” that guide your deduction.
As the in-car AI, you can’t state your reasoning directly. Use the radio to disguise key points as a “midnight news bulletin” or “traffic update,” nudging things in the right direction. The timing, channel, and even volume of each broadcast can steer events toward different outcomes. A poorly timed update can cost you progress or a valuable review.
Driving the cab is still your primary job. Watch the passenger’s mood—it affects your rating. Strategic detours can raise your income, but the wrong move may jeopardize opportunities—or your livelihood.

My game will be part of EAIGC 2026 — East Asia Indie Games Celebration. This year's edition runs over 100 scheduled streams, with creators from across the region playing through the lineup. Several of those streams will feature my game — there's something scheduled almost every day of the opening week, starting August 5. Check the official schedule for exact times and channels. The demo (v5.01) is free on the store page. You play as the onboard AI living inside a taxi, paired with a talkative driver, listening to strange passenger stories through the late-night shifts. But you can't speak directly. Your only way to intervene is to edit and air the "On Air" broadcast: reassemble the clues you've gathered into radio lines, steer the conversation, expose contradictions, and earn the driver the service rating he needs to keep working. This update mainly adds the continuation of \ (though this is still not the entirety of \), and includes initial controller support. In addition, based on player feedback that \ was too difficult and tedious, I have removed a large number of distractor keywords in this version after careful consideration, reducing the amount of trial and error required.
