Shifting Chambers is a first-person horror exploration puzzle game set inside a massive, decaying manor where adaptation is key to survival.
Trapped in a massive manor where the room layout shifts when the bell rings. You must explore a constantly changing layout, solve cryptic puzzles, and avoid the enigmatic guardians who brought you here—and won’t let you leave.
Play solo or with up to 2 friends in online co-op. Work together to survive, or split up to cover more ground.

Shifting Rooms – The manor’s doors link to different rooms when the bell rings. Memorization is useless — adaptation is key.
Puzzle-Driven Exploration – Solve environmental puzzles to unlock new areas and reach the elusive escape route.
Manor Guardians – Intelligent and adapting. They brought you here and they won’t let you leave. Avoid detection… or suffer the consequences.

Hey horror and puzzle fans!We want to thank you all for playing and wishlisting Shifting Chambers! Our demo was limited in content to a single floor in the mansion with just one main puzzle to find a way out. Players were also introduced to Butler - a mansion guardian who keeps the place in order and captured people inside. Even though we had to hurry with the demo to have it done in time for the fest, we still got a decent amount of downloads and wishlists.Help us and give us feedback!However, we ran into a concerning statistic. Our demo's median playtime was very low and we've been trying to figure out why. In playtests before the Next Fest, players spent at least 1h in the demo so this seemed very odd. This is where we need your help! If you've played the demo, please write to the Steam forums or join our Discord to tell how long you played and what made you stop. We would love to hear from you so we can make the experience better!Join our Discord: https://discord.gg/AdtrzBhbFq Our suspicion is that it's not clear what players were expected to do at the beginning, so we have updated the demo with a bit more guidance. We've also updated the Butler's behavior to be more forgiving so he doesn't act too aggressively right away.The demo will be available for two more weeks so if you haven't already, you still have time to play it!
