Manage your ingredients carefully in Feed the Scorchpot, where each missed meal could mean disaster. Build your island and fuse recipes in this unique roguelike experience from Moravian that spans twenty years of gameplay.
About this game
You struck a deal with a dragon: twenty years of protection for twenty years of dinner service. The island thrives under the beast's watchful eye, as long as the meals keep coming.

Every year, the dragon wakes up hungrier. You roll dice to work your island, harvest ingredients, fuse them into recipes, and cook them down in the Scorchpot — the pot you keep full or end up in. Get the meal right and you prosper. Get it wrong and you're smoke.
Build farmsteads, shrines, and harbors across your hex-grid island, each one changing how the board pays out. The best runs start with a handful of tiles and end with a machine that buries the dragon in food. Then the odds tighten, the dragon turns picky, and you tear the whole thing down and rebuild while it's on fire.
Feed the Scorchpot, keep the dragon happy, and outlast the contract.

Build a scoring engine — Place farms, shrines, and harbors so they feed each other. 50+ buildings and 80+ recipes to mix and upgrade, until a handful of tiles becomes board-breaking numbers.
Every meal is a math puzzle — Combine ingredients into recipes that boost Flavor and Essence, multiplying your Fodder score into absurd, screen-shaking numbers.
Press your luck — Win in fewer seasons for a bigger payoff, but each year you stay raises the stakes: harsher odds, hungrier dragons, the odd tantrum that torches your board.
Build your dice — 20+ types: odd, even, colored, even dice carved into six sixes. Tune your tray and pray the dragon's merciful.
Broken combos, on purpose — Bend the rules, break the math, and rebuild when everything catches fire.
Hand-drawn, every inch — Every dragon, building, and meal drawn by Daniela, the artist half of the married duo who made the game.

For combo addicts — If you've broken Balatro or Slay the Spire wide open with one overpowered synergy, you'll feel at home.
Quick to pick up — Roll, cook, feed: you've got the loop by your first year. Staying ahead of the dragon for twenty is the hard part.
Cozy on top, ruthless underneath — Hand-drawn and warm, right up until the fire catches.
Cook cleverly, plan badly, or just roll with it — the dragon doesn't care how you win, only that you feed the beast on time. And yes, you can pet the dragon.

Patch 1.01 Fine-tuning the Cookery
Two weeks since the release!I've received an enormous amount of great feedback and some bug reports (fortunately, not that many!). It's mind-boggling to see so many people having a blast feeding the Scorchpot.I've read through all the comments, reports, and discussions and jumped back to work. Update 1.01 is now live on Steam. I hopefully managed to solve most of the issues and bugs without creating new ones. I've also added some QoL improvements, like harvest calculations for each tile - you can now see the expected harvest from a tile in its tooltip. More QoL features and UI improvements are coming. The second thing I wanted to address was the early-game difficulty. A lot of new players were having a hard time getting a run started, which resulted in repeated restarts. That's no fun.So I tweaked the starting conditions a bit - most notably, the initial hunger is lower, so there should be more breathing room to find a good strategy. But I did it carefully so I wouldn't compromise the overall difficulty of the game. I know a lot of players are enjoying the challenge!Cheers, everyone, and thanks for playing!1.01 CHANGELOGFeatures:Little bricks on the calendar now indicate when you get new building slotsTooltip for each tile now shows the expected harvest from the tile based on currently rolled marksAdded subtle visual and audio indications for clickable buttons in the shopBugfixes:Fixed an issue with profile resettingGame music is now in stereo. First week - the dragon approves
It's been a little over a week since we launched Feed the Scorchpot. I'm over the moon that so many people have bought the game and are having a blast playing it. We've sold over 16,000 copies at the time of writing this. That's just an incredible number. Huge thanks to everyone - you can't imagine how much it all means to me (and really, to all of us involved!).So, what's ahead of us?I've gathered a lot of great feedback - good suggestions for QoL features, possible improvements to the balance, and some bug reports, though far fewer than I was afraid to find. Most of the complaints I've seen so far are about two things:Firstly: UI and UX. I admit, there's definitely room for improvement there. UX is an incredibly complex area, and I still have a lot to learn. I will continue improving it in the future.Secondly: some players find the game quite difficult. This was surprising to me, as I was more worried that it would be too easy! I will consider some balancing changes to make the runs more approachable, though I don't want to take away from the challenge, as I can see that this is what most players enjoy.I aim to release a first update with bug fixes and balance tweaks next week. After that, I want to rework the demo and make it available again, so everyone can try the game out before buying it.And finally, if you missed the initial discount, we've just launched Feed the Scorchpot on GOG, so you can check it out there!Stay tuned - more is coming!Read full article on Community Announcements (Moravian)AnnouncementsOfficial
The Dragon has come to claim his feast – Feed the Scorchpot is here
After 18 months of development, the day is finally here. It’s hard to believe I’m actually writing these words.Feed the Scorchpot is now officially available on Steam.Eight different dragons, ten difficulty levels, a whole deckbuilding system to customize your runs, deep meta-progression, and 40 challenging trophies to achieve. The dopamine feast is ready.Speaking of dopamine... Has anyone ever heard of Balatro? Well... we have secured a launch bundle with Jimbo. If you already own Balatro or want to buy both games, the Feed the Scorchpot x Balatro bundle is also available now. I couldn’t have wished for a better Day 1 collab! The Dragon meets Jimbo. Match made in heaven!I have to thank everyone who helped us bring this game to life – our amazing publishers, Josh and Clem; our partners at WhisperGames; the translators who spent hours rummaging through my terrible puns; our wonderful beta-testing community; and all of the amazing supporters who always had a kind word for us.And I personally have to thank my lovely wife for putting up with all my requests to draw yet another dragon in her spare time.Thank you.Read full article on Community Announcements (Moravian)AnnouncementsOfficial
Music is on fire, yo
Every indie dev faces the same challenge - you have to wear so many hats at the same time: programmer hat, artist hat, designer hat, marketing hat, and many more. My wife and I were lucky that we had most of these hats covered between the two of us. We gladly offloaded the marketing to our amazing publisher, but there was still one other hat that didn’t quite fit.Music was never my strong suit. In fact, I’m pretty sure I’m tone-deaf. I wouldn’t dream of actually composing music, but I found a decent shortcut. I took some of my favorite classical pieces (the great Antonín Dvořák, a Czech composer from the 19th century) and gave them a slight twist to fit our medieval-ish game about feeding a dragon. And it worked! Players seemed to enjoy the soundtrack. However, as development moved along and we realized just how much people actually enjoyed the game, we came to the conclusion that it deserved better than my shortcut. Around the same time, I got in touch with an Aussie composer named Dragos. I’m not going to lie - even his name seemed too fitting. We chatted for a while and decided to give it a go.And oh man. I’m so glad we did. He delivered.Feed the Scorchpot will have a completely new soundtrack at launch that captures the atmosphere of the game perfectly. Cheeky strings to underline the dragons’ fickle nature. A lovely, dreamy harp to start the game off. Tension building up during the midgame. And Latin lyrics when things get serious. The whole game just got elevated to a whole new level. You’ll get a chance to experience it yourself at launch in just four days!(Btw, due to popular demand from our wonderful beta tester community, the old legacy soundtrack can still be enabled in the settings.)Read full article on Community Announcements (Moravian)AnnouncementsOfficial
Three Weeks Left
I have no idea where all the time went. It feels like only yesterday I came up with the idea of making a game about feeding a dragon, and now it's suddenly almost ready. There are only a few last tweaks and fixes left on my to-do list.I've been busy polishing everything into something I can truly be proud of.I've also built on the previous big addition - the Codex - and added Statistics and Trophies. You'll now be able to track your high scores, your progress, and all the absurd numbers you've thrown into the Scorchpot. The in-game trophies are linked to Steam Achievements, and there are 40 of them!I have to admit something: I don't really like easy achievements. Unlocking one should feel like an actual achievement. Because of that, quite a few of the trophies are challenging... and some are very challenging. Hopefully that will make the completionists among you happy!Another huge milestone has been localization. Thanks to several wonderful supporters and our Asian co-publisher, the game is now fully translated into German, French, Spanish, Czech, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.I've been getting this surreal feeling about the game a lot lately, and seeing it available in so many languages only adds to it.There's still more work to do before release... but it's looking really good. Better than I ever dared to hope.Read full article on Community Announcements (Moravian)
