Explore post-apocalyptic Chicago's ruins, fixing vehicles and battling zombies in this intense first-person shooter from Stones Games. Race against the clock until the army arrives with just 30 days left.

About this game

28 days ago, you got the call - your brother’s checkpoint had fallen. Now it’s surrounded by the dead.

He’s not like you. He’s a scientist, chasing a cure.

You’ve spent your life as a cop - fighting, surviving.

Now, to save him, you’ll need a reinforced ride and a plan to hand your own checkpoint over to the U.S. Army.

You’re the last surviving soldier at the only checkpoint still standing in the north of the city.
Your mission: save as many uninfected civilians as you can. If you let the infected slip out of Chicago, the entire world could fall. Hold the line. Buy more weapons and upgrade your defenses. The Army promises to arrive in 30 days - then comes the raid. You’ll fight your way through the ruins of Chicago to reach your brother… and try to save him at any cost.

Make cold, calculated decisions.

Every survivor has a story - and they’ll tell it to you. But don’t believe everything you hear. Inspect each one carefully and decide their fate.
Will you let them pass? Hold them for a second screening? Or are they too far gone - and need to be eliminated?
The choice is yours.

Gameplay

First-person gameplay that blends inspection sim and zombie action.

Screen refugees with a full-body scanner and other tools to detect signs of infection.

Decide each refugee’s fate: clear them to leave Chicago, hold them in a quarantine room for observation, or eliminate them.

Head out from the base to clear infested zones.

Earn cash to buy weapons and repair your car for the toughest raid across a ruined Chicago.

Tools

Use special gear to find out if a survivor is infected or smuggling contraband. Personal inspections, scanners, and a range of devices will help you.
So will a good shotgun.

Zombies

Zombie waves grow stronger by the day. Crawlers, Spitters, Aggressors, Marine Zombies… A good shotgun helps. But not always.

Preparing for the Raid

Repair your car and get it ready for the brutal run through Chicago to your brother’s checkpoint.
Save him—no matter the cost.

Get ready for Contamination - Next Content Update and Post-Launch Update

Hello, Checkpoint Operators!Next month shall be exciting for the crew and those who follow us as we are finishing our work on our biggest update to Quarantine Zombie yet - Contamination. Thanks to your continuous feedback (and it’s been energizing to work our way through it!) from our initial launch early 2026, we have identified a core track to work on, and we are almost ready to deliver the changes to flesh out the core gameplay even more. The Infection EvolvesIn Contamination we are taking the Survivor Inspection Simulation to a whole new level. The infection evolves and with it, the Inspection Protocol and the Tools section is getting an expansion and a balance pass to make tool access more fluid and less confusing (and allow you to concentrate more on patching up your car and expanding your armory). You are going to get access to pincers to inspect ears and look for new signs of infection - work carefully to identify and correctly categorize new arrivals. The survivors arriving at your checkpoint are also up to no good. With more than 40 new survivors, some of them are going to try to sneak past you and cover up their signs of infection. Work carefully with your hands (that double as an all new melee combat system!) to uncover their tricks and cause minor stress and sweating to reveal signs of infection. With that, we have moved past AI content and revoiced the survivors authentically. Beyond the CheckpointA key feature that we were always proud of is the ability to go beyond your checkpoint - on foot (or behind the wheel of your truck) and armed with guns.In Contamination update, should you find yourself in a pinch and overwhelmed, you can resort to wading through the horde with your own bare hands punching and shoving the infected masses as you attempt to make your way deep into Chicago. But before that, before you run out of ammo in your guns, you will be able to try out the new shooting QTE mechanic to take out a number of incoming infected with cold efficiency ...
