Action, Adventure, Indie, Early Access · 2026 · More free games
Navigate the treacherous corridors of purgatory in Soul Maze, an action-packed adventure where every failed attempt means losing a teammate. Can your group survive long enough to make it out?
About this game
Every round, your team can fail. Every failure means a vote. Every vote means one of you burns, and comes back as the enemy.
Soul Maze is a 2–4 player online co-op where cooperation and betrayal go hand in hand. Explore a procedurally generated labyrinth, collect Soul Fragments, and survive the darkness. Together, if you can stay that way.
—
The maze reshapes itself every run: new corridors, new traps, new threats. Work together to locate the Soul Fragments hidden in puzzles and obstacle challenges before time runs out. Every second counts. Every fragment matters. You will never walk the same darkness twice.
Have you noticed the tall tower rising from the center of the maze? It might just save you. From there, one player can oversee the labyrinth, guiding others through the darkness and locating the fragments. Use it wisely… or ignore it at your own risk.
Soul Fragments aren't just lying around. They're locked behind obstacle courses, solo puzzles, and cooperative trials that demand communication and trust. The maze will test both, and so will your teammates.
Sacrificed by your friends? The maze has other plans for you.
As a Dark Soul, you return with new powers and one objective : make sure they never escape. Steal fragments before the light souls reach them. Use your XRay vision to track them through walls. Freeze them in place and watch them scramble. You're no longer playing the same game, you're playing against it.
The more rounds they fail, the more Dark Souls hunt them. By the final round, the odds might not be in their favor.

Light Soul Rework & Gameplay Improvement
Hello Souls! We’re continuing to improve Soul Maze based on your playtest feedback. This update brings several changes to make the experience smoother, more balanced, and more immersive.Light Soul right-click ability reworkThe Light Soul’s right-click ability has been completely reworked based on playtester feedback.Previously, this ability would make your character stand still and project a large beam of light into the sky, making you visible through walls to other Light Souls and easier to locate for the strategist. However, this ability was rarely used. Players usually stayed together, making it unnecessary.During the final escape phase, however, players can get separated after being hit by a Dark Soul, making it difficult to regroup without the strategist. To address this, the ability has been redesigned into a mobile coordination tool. While holding right-click, you carry your lantern and can move while using it, allowing you to actively locate and communicate with your teammates. While active:You can run and jump, but not dash or climbYou can see other Light Souls through walls (highlighted)You can communicate with them from a distance (radio) This change makes it easier to regroup and improves coordination, especially during the final escape. The Labyrinth Grows Darker
Hello Souls! We've been working on improving the visual atmosphere of our game, and this update makes the labyrinth darker, deeper and more immersive.Light sources now stand out much more in the darkness. Glowing elements such as torches and lanterns pierce through the shadows, creating stronger contrasts and reinforcing the mysterious feeling while exploring the maze.A more organic labyrinth We also wanted the labyrinth to feel less linear and more natural. To achieve this, we added more environmental details throughout the corridors:scattered rocks and stone formationsroots emerging from the ground and wallsvarious elements to break up long straight corridorsThese additions help the labyrinth feel less artificial and more alive.New environmental details We’ve also added several atmospheric details to bring more life to the labyrinth. New environmental decals have been introduced, including glowing cracks spreading across walls and the ground. Some of them emit red or blue light, hinting at the strange energy flowing through the maze. In several areas, we’ve added various visual effects to make the labyrinth feel more alive. This includes falling leaves carried by the wind, subtle floating dust particles, glowing effects on the bonus/malus statues, and tiny luminous butterflies drifting through the corridors. These subtle VFX add movement and depth to the environment, enhancing the labyrinth’s mysterious and immersive character. We will continue improving the world and atmosphere of Soul Maze as development progresses.See you in the mazeThe Soul Maze Team ✨Curious to explore the labyrinth yourself?
