About this game
This place is not meant for you. It certainly wasn’t meant for humans. The shapes, the structures, the paths, the traces of creatures gone for millennia. But where some would be terrified by this strange unfamiliarity, you are intrigued. Unfortunately, so was your mother, an archeologist who went missing in these same caves. Equipped with only your wits and a modified camera, follow in her footsteps to explore the ancient ruins of a civilization torn asunder by phenomena they did not understand. Wandering past objects phasing into and out of existence, you wonder; will you discover what led to the downfall of these people, or will your mother succumb to the same fate?
Eye of the Erime is a first-person puzzle game where you use a camera to take photos of flowers to manipulate objects temporally and spatially. Traverse a unique underground settlement, solve puzzles, find a way to save your mother, and escape the caves.
Wield your camera as a powerful tool: Take photos of budded flowers to cause them to entangle objects they're embedded in. When they bloom, they affect these objects in various ways.
Discover the technologies of a dead civilization: The Erime were a subterranean society that lived long before humans. Their technologies are both foreign, yet eerily similar to modernity. Explore their decrepit caves and uncover the cause of their demise.
Solve puzzles through experimentation: Explore puzzle spaces and engage with the elements the Erime left behind. There's more than one solution to the challenges presented to you. Learn about and gain mastery over entanglement and its accompanying mechanisms.
Investigate the disappearance of your mother: After unearthing the ruins of the Erime civilization lost many millennia ago, World renown archeologist Dr. Peggy Sloan disappeared. Alongside IRIS, her robotic assistant, follow in her footsteps to discover her fate.

Hey all! Thank you all so much for your continual support of Eote! We are all incredibly grateful for each and everyone of you. We have been hard at work on our first patch, and now that we have been realeased fo 1 week, it's ready! Here is what you can expect from this update: Puzzle tweaks for stability purposes (goodbye platforms that float out into the abyss forever!)Quin has lost the super power of being able to walk through wood (sooden support collisions have been re-introduced, physics should act as intended)Fixed a rather crushing bug for speedrunners that would disallow 100% completion if you jumped into another level before IRIS stopped talking. Feel free to get moving as fast as you can now!Ephemeral launching has been improved in some areas, thank you for flying Air Erime!Patched a couple of level geometry softlocks in the overworld, no more getting stuck in a random pile of stalagmites! (or is it stalagtites, we can never remember) There are still a few other bugs that we are working on, but we wanted to make sure these fixes got to you all as soon as possible. Eye of the Erime Has Released!
Hello all!Eye of the Erime is available on Steam now! Thank you all so much to those who supported us through the development process!A couple of notes:This is not the last you will hear from us. We fully intend to go through a couple rounds of bug fixes and support.This is the entire game. While adding some new levels in later down the line might be a fun challenge (looking at you design team), this is the extent of the content we will be releasing for Eye of the Erime for the foreseeable future.We have a bug report form!
