About this game
Dave. What ties him to RDS?
Maybe this facility is more than just a place.
He woke up, believing the nightmare was over?
What if awakening was only the beginning… the beginning of the end?
He went there to make sure it was just a figment of his imagination?
Maybe this place was truly born… from the greed and malice of those who knew no limits.
He only wanted to take a look?
But what if RDS is a cancer that can never be removed?
He’s looking for a way out?
Do you feel that every step only drags him deeper… just so RDS can consume him?
Hey! Wait for me. Before it’s too late...
About the game:
A blend of puzzles and exploration within a dark, underground facility.
Solve challenges using interactive objects and your environment.
Experience close encounters with enemies, where quick thinking and clever reactions are key.
Notes:
Some less important areas are intentionally dark by default. You can increase brightness in the settings, if you want those areas to be bright anyway.
If you dislike Player's camera swinging left and right, you can adjust it in settings under "Gameplay" tab, or you can uncheck "Dynamic camera" to minimize animations of the camera.
"Valve's Portal" isn't the primary inspiration for this game. Meaning, it won't follow the same rules, or design decisions.

Welcome to RDS ...?
New game, new codebase, same universe.True Abstraction: Forbidden is a direct continuation of True Abstraction: Rewind So: I recommend playing True Abstraction: Rewind first since it's essencially the "part one".One important thing to note: Rewind has more and better puzzle levels, and Forbidden is more focused at expanding the world itself without as many or hard puzzles.Last note: This project is made by a single person. Me. It may fall a bit short compared to Rewind in some cases but overall it's much better structured game. If you want to stay more up to date, join our Discord server.
