Media Type: Video
Hi everyone! As the title suggests, this announcement is to explain our decision not to include video media in the Early Access release. For those who did not participate in our playtest earlier this year, the playtest version included video files as a media type. These videos could be used to generate unique scenarios, just like the other media types. However, after reviewing all of the feedback we received, we decided to postpone this feature. There are a few reasons for this decision. First, sending video files takes much longer than other types of media, which raised concerns about whether our current transfer system is the right solution for the game. Second, videos introduce an additional layer of complexity that does not exist with the other media types: audio. Supporting, synchronizing, and processing video audio properly requires more work before we feel that the feature meets the quality we expect. With these challenges in mind, we do not think it would be fair to include video media in its current state as part of the Early Access experience. We would rather take the time to improve it and release a feature we are proud of instead of shipping something unfinished. After launch, we will share our roadmap so you can see what we are working on next. We will also continue listening to your feedback as we develop the game throughout Early Access. We cannot wait to see you all at launch! – The Studio Pimbina TeamRead full article on Community Announcements (studiopimbina)AnnouncementsOfficial
