Patch NotesOfficial
1.0.09.00
This latest patch is based on game balance and making the earlier game (first 40-50 days) much easier for the standard Story Teller (Cedric). It also makes the game a little easier for new players by enforcing easier new game setting for the Tutorial. Amberstones These will No-longer convert villagers or Refugees into GIants. This allows you to not worry about picking resources or cleaning mess around Amberstones. Military Units or special units will still be effected Dialogs Pressing Escape when a main dialog is open will now close that dialog rather than pull up the Pause menu Note, it will still display the Pause menu when no dialog is open as before Tutorial and New Game Mode The tutorial will now lock new game mode into the Easy Story Teller (Emis) and the small world and either Easy or Standard Creature difficulty. This is to allow new players more time to get used to the game mechanics. Story Tellers Cedric will now build up slower making the game more easy using that Story Teller. This will allow you to build up your colony more before the harder creatures appear. Note, Enabling the Tutorial In-Game will not change the game modes or story tellers. This will only effect new games. If you have any issues with this patch then please let us know via the Steam Discussion Forums. Thanks,Read full article on Community Announcements (BirchwoodGames)AnnouncementsOfficial

Patch 1.0.0.5
Outposts and Balancing Key Changes Outpost building Cart carry capacity Outposts The Outpost allows you to conquer distant islands much easier. Now instead of workers or warehouse carts having to send items to the main castle these can now be deposited in an outpost and added to the available global resources. Warehouse/Market Carts These will now trigger once at least 10 resource items have been stored in the warehouse and can now carry a maximum of 50 of each resource. This allows them to not get too full and better handle when lots of farms etc are nearby. This especially helps when there is a nearby outpost which acts as part of the global resource economy.Read full article on Community Announcements (BirchwoodGames)Patch NotesOfficial
Patch 1.0.02 Small Fixes
Hi, Just a couple of small Fixes from issues we have noticed post 1.0 Fixed problem where the Ghost Building (used while placing a building) was impacting on units path finding. Mainly villagers but could impact other units also. Fixed small issue where some creatures were over stepping their target position in certain circumstances Small tweak to performance for bombard cannons Request a Favour I'd like to thank everyone who has already purchased the game. I really hope you are enjoying it. I'd like to ask a favour however. Currently we don't have any active reviews for the game but people are playing it. Steam basically demotes games that have no reviews so I'd really appreciate it if you could give us a review to help us out. Thanks.Read full article on Community Announcements (BirchwoodGames)AnnouncementsOfficial
Released!
We've done it, we are at the release date!We really hope you like the game, it's been a lot of work, lot of stress (especially as we neared the release date) but we are finally there. We've released the game in English, German and Chinese initially. We are hoping if the game is at least a little successful we can release in other languages also. we have had a few wishlists from countries we have not translated and would really like to bring the game to those people. We have ideas to improve and expand on Giantfall, especially around the story events and will be adding new bosses etc. These will be ALL be free for people that purchased the game as a show of gratitude for giving us and the game a chance. We will also look at any issues and fix them asap going forward.I'd like to personally thank everyone who wishlisted the game as it helped motivate us. Of course a special thanks to anyone who purchases the game. We are a very small team and would love to grow and expand and not only add to Giantfall but also our other game "Gladiator Immortal" which we are aiming at getting a demo out before the October Next Fest. Please Enjoy the game.Read full article on Community Announcements (BirchwoodGames)
