About this game
Heroes and Forsaken is the official Wheel of Time digital card game. Build powerful decks under Leader identities, choose Light or Shadow, and face off in fast, tactical matches set across the world of The Wheel of Time. Command legendary characters and spells, outplay your rival, and shape the fate of the Age.
Align with the great powers of the world. From the White Tower to the Borderlands, from the Aiel to the Seanchan Empire, each path offers unique cards, abilities, and strategies rooted in Wheel of Time lore.
Collect and master a growing library of cards inspired by the characters, magic, and history of the series. Combine Leaders, companions, spells, and artifacts to build decks that match your preferred playstyle.
Battle across a striking 3D board with animated companions and magical effects. The presentation aims to capture the grandeur and danger of the Wheel of Time universe.
Experiment with deck combinations, adapt to your opponent’s tactics, and refine your strategy over time. Competitive online play and additional modes are planned. Details will be shared closer to launch.

Heroes and Forsaken: the FAQStraight answers, kept short. We update this page as the game grows.What is Heroes and Forsaken? A competitive, turn-based strategy card game set in the world of The Wheel of Time. Choose the Light or the Shadow, build your deck around a Leader and a Companion, and use tactical decisions, card combinations and careful timing to outplay your opponent.How does the game approach the books? The novels are our reference for the setting and its characters. We adapt that material into card abilities and battlefield effects, with game rules and visual choices serving the needs of a strategy game.Is it free? Yes. Heroes and Forsaken is free to play. You unlock every card by playing.What does the shop sell? Cosmetics only: Leader skins, boards, card backs, emotes, profile items and bundles of these. Every item is labelled "Cosmetic. No effect on play." Nothing that affects how you play is for sale, and money can't buy Threads, the currency you earn by playing. Chests are earned by playing and are never sold, so nothing random is for sale. We are also exploring a seasonal pass with cosmetic rewards. If we add one, it will have no skips: everyone progresses at the same speed.Is it pay to win? No. Everything that affects play is earned by playing.Does the game use crypto, NFTs or blockchain? No. Heroes and Forsaken has no cryptocurrency, NFT or blockchain features, and we have no plans to add them.How do I win a match? In a standard head-to-head match, reduce the opposing Leader to zero Health while protecting your own. If both Leaders fall together, the match is a draw.What is in a deck? A standard deck is 30 cards, plus a Leader and a Companion who do not count toward those 30. Your Leader must match the side you choose, the Light or the Shadow, and your cards and Companion must match it or be usable by both.Will there be a story PvE mode? Yes.
