Control vast armies and strategize conquests to unify a divided land in Ashen Destiny, an indie strategy experience where your every move shapes the fate of nations.
About this game
Warlords rise, and empires fall... Your destiny is forged in the fires of conquest.
Ashen Destiny is a turn based grand strategy game built around procedurally generated worlds, deep province management, and large-scale tactical warfare. Every campaign unfolds on a world map that will never exist again, shaped by war, scarcity, and ambition.
Govern your empire by managing resources, developing provinces, and recruiting generals while expanding through calculated conquest. Your provinces must be carefully attended to and sustained, focusing on long term decisions that can echo across future turns.
When war erupts (and it will), invasions allow up to 20 generals per side, each acting as an individual command unit on the battlefield. Battles are fought on unique, terrain-driven maps where positioning, castle defenses, loyalty, and powerful battlefield abilities can influence the outcome.
With procedurally generated worlds and deep strategic systems, Ashen Destiny demands adaptation, foresight, and resolve! No two campaigns or wars ever unfold the same way.

Surprise Update: Rebels Have Arrived!
Hello Warlords, in several provinces the populations have been taken advantage of... taxed to the extreme, underfed, and neglected. These people have decided to take matters into their own hands and form powerful rebel armies! If you are not cautious with your population’s needs going forward, you may find yourself facing these dangerous rebel leaders due to your own negligence. So be the best warlord you can be, and make your people proud to stand by your side! New Additions & Mechanics • The province UI stats now flash either green or red now when any value has changed! • The players generals now show their units in green font on the battle field, and the enemy units will be shown with orange font. Orange was chosen over red for better visibility. • A Rebel Leader unit has been added. Rebels will now attack any province where the population approval drops below 41. • If multiple provinces have a low approval at the same time, the game will queue them. Only one rebel attack can occur per month/turn. • If rebels defeat a province’s army, they will take control of the province, raise their own flag, and become an independent warlord. The populations approval will jump to 80 due to the uprising’s success. • Rebel units never flee and will fight to the death (or starvation). • Defeating a Rebel Leader will reward you with a small amount of bonus gold and food. • When the players losses, the score screen now pops up and tells them they have been defeated. At that point they can click continue button and resume watching the map play without them. • Added localization to the end victory screen and defeat screen. Edits & Bug Fixes • Province approval ratings can no longer drop below -15. This bug previously caused crashes. • When loading older save files, any approval values below -15 will now be corrected automatically. • Economy and Crop values can no longer fall below 0. Previously, battlefield damage to buildings or crops could cause negative values. • The range of the...Read full article on Community Announcements (s1eepyguy)Patch NotesOfficial
Medium Update with Bug Fixes
Hello Warlords! Here is a small update of additions and bug fixes. Also please note that the next update will be a big one... with major changes to the Battle Field graphics and will include some new Mechanics, 3D models, Animations, UI additions, and some potential particle systems. Here are the current updates... Additions Added the ability to tilt the main island camera up and down. The Charm skill of your generals now affects Buying and Selling with the traveling merchant. High Charm will give you better trading rates versus low Charm where you will get worse rates than the posted one. The Wisdom skill now directly affects the skill levels of generals that are found when using the search function. UI: Removed the year counter at the top of the UI and added a turns counter above the current month. Thank you for the Feedback in Discord that made this change obvious. Added some missing tooltips in the main UI, again... thanks to some feedback in Discord. Added 1 second of wait time after each unit's turn on the battle map. This allows you to see the damage done by all units before the camera moves to the next unit's turn. Again from feedback in Discord. The total units for each tutorial province that the player has to defeat have been reduced and now only contain around 50 units each. This will ensure that players are able to win without any hiccups. Bug Fixes: Fixed a large number of spelling and grammar mistakes in the tutorial thanks to feedback given to me in Discord. Fixed an issue where the Battle Camera would start on the wrong battle map but then snap to the correct map once the player tried to move the battle camera. Fixed a major soft lock bug that occurred on all battle fields if a unit changes sides but then dies. This caused the turn system to soft lock and not move to the next unit's turn. Fixed a tutorial soft lock that could occur if you killed all enemy generals on your first invasion and that province's turn was next after the battle. Once the bat...Read full article on Community Announcements (s1eepyguy)Patch NotesOfficial

The Start Screen Update
There is a brand new start screen for Ashen Destiny and it already looks a lot closer to what I always wanted. There will be new additions to the start screen each time I make more 3D models. Eventually it should look really amazing. There has been a major update to capsule art of Ashen Destiny and it no longer has the stand in art. The new art work I have created really pops, I hope everyone likes it better than then original.Read full article on Community Announcements (s1eepyguy)Patch NotesOfficial
