Venture into Way of Madness, an action-adventure game where your choices define your descent into horror. Navigate through a fully hand-drawn world filled with strategic challenges and limited resources that push you closer to insanity.
About this game
You are a scientist paying for the mistakes you tried to bury. To understand what you’ve done, you must hold on to your sanity though perhaps madness itself is the only path to truth. What you see and hear changes with your mind, and your fate will depend on how well you can hold it together.
Way of Madness is a fully hand-drawn 2D survival horror game. Every frame is illustrated by hand, pulling you into a world where strange beauty hides grotesque enemies, scarce resources, and choices that twist your story. Survive the hallucinations, confront the horrors you’ve created, and decide whether your mind is worth saving.

Devlog #01
Hey everyone, welcome to our first devlog. We want to use these posts to share what is actually going on behind the scenes with our projects: what moved forward, what changed, and occasionally what went wrong. The Capsule Art Situation and Hand Drawn ScenesWe weren't completely satisfied with our previous capsule art. It actually contains an important hint about where Way of Madness (WoM) is heading story-wise, but as a main capsule it just wasn't catching the eye enough. People online seemed to like it, but we wanted something that reads faster on Steam while still feeling like the game. So we started working on a new version, and then revised that one again. Old versionNew version Revised version (currently what we use) Meanwhile, here's Surnuken (our artist) on figuring out the art pipeline: "I've been trying to find a sustainable way to create Way of Madness scenes. We have around 300 of them, so not every scene can be a massive illustration. The goal is to find a level of detail that we can keep consistent throughout the whole game. Small object movements, weather and ambient animation should help make the natural areas feel alive. Next I'm creating a batch of scenes for a fighting sequence so we can experiment with how enemies interact with this style." Sketch of a sceneFinal version of the sceneWe Completed Most of WoM's Story If we divide WoM's story into three acts, Acts 1 and 2 are completely written and locked down. Act 3 is already in solid draft form, so the next step is polishing it and finally locking the whole script. What the Rest of the Team is DoingWoM is currently very art-heavy, which means there are periods where the rest of us have less useful work to do without adding unnecessary features just for the sake of staying busy. Instead of bloating WoM, we're using some of that time to prototype two much smaller games on the side: one fast-paced FPS and one casual party game. If either survives the prototype stage, we'll show you more later. So, Wh...Read full article on Community Announcements (Teberzin)AnnouncementsOfficial
A Small Note From Vesvese Studios
Hey everyone, We wanted to write a small note about how we make our games. At Vesvese Studios, we do not use AI-generated art during the development of our games. We know this topic can easily become loud and tiring, so we don’t want to turn this into a big speech. We just wanted to be clear about our own way of working. For us, games are personal things. They are not only code, art, music, or mechanics. They are also the weird little choices, mistakes, jokes, moods, and memories that happen while making them. That human part is very important to us. We believe games are one of the strongest ways to tell stories. Sometimes that story is told with a character. Sometimes it is told with a monster standing in the dark for no reason. So we want to keep making our games by hand, with our own taste, our own limits, and our own strange ideas. What We Are Working On Some of you found us through Way of Madness, our handdrawn survival horror game. It is still very important to us. We have been working on it for a long time, and we want it to become the best version of itself instead of rushing it out before it is ready. Way of Madness We are also making till death ROLLS us apart, a small dice roguelike where you start with simple dice and slowly turn them into something very stupid and very dangerous. It is a compact game, but we are putting a lot of care into it. And the demo is out already so you can try it whenever you want to. till death ROLLS us apart And of course, there is CyberCook, our first game. It is a PS1 style experimental horror game about running a cannibal restaurant. It is rough, weird, and very much “us.” We have been updating it because we still care about it and we want people who play it now to have a better experience. CyberCook We also have Silent Fangs: Stealthy Vampire's Tale. It is in hiatus for now, but we still want to return to it one day. We want to make it an open-world vampire RPG in our own way. Not huge just to be huge, but full of weird sto...Read full article on Community Announcements (Teberzin)AnnouncementsOfficial
Thank you all for 15,000 Wishlists - The Madness is About to Happen
Thank You for 15,000 Wishlists First of all, we really thank you all for your support. We passed 15,000 wishlists, which is a dream for all of us. And it wouldn't have been possible without you. So, we're truly glad, and we're sending our love to you all. Now, let's talk a bit about the game's status. We've been working on Way of Madness for more than a year, and we're very proud of what we're doing. However, since we need money to develop it without any problems, and we want to deliver the best experience we can without bugs and issues, we decided to make another game before Way of Madness. That game ended up being a dice-themed roguelike inspired by Balatro. In till death ROLLS us apart, you're basically able to turn your basic d20 into an absolute death machine with the help of modifiers. So, please wishlist it too if you want to support us. till death ROLLS us apart! CyberCook 3.0 Update Not just that, but we also updated our first game, CyberCook, a PS1-style experimental horror game where you run a cannibal restaurant. We were not satisfied with some parts of the game, so we just published the 3.0 Update. CyberCook What Comes Next for Way of Madness After the release of till death ROLLS us apart, which will be in the coming months, we're currently aiming for around 1–2 months from now, we will be working full time on Way of Madness. So, take your seats and be ready to hear more updates, news, and content from Way of Madness. We're also always happy to hear from you about the games we make, especially Way of Madness. We're glad to be in contact with you all. So, don't hesitate to say hi to us and hop on our Discord. And see you all soon. -Vesvese Studios Way of MadnessRead full article on Community Announcements (Teberzin)AnnouncementsOfficial
Way of Madness Demo is Out!
Way of Madness Demo is Out!After a long week of chaos, crashes, and caffeine, we finally made it. the Way of Madness demo is out! This version includes the restored content we’ve been rebuilding ever since the hard drive disaster. It’s finally closer to what we originally imagined. We’re incredibly thankful for everyone’s patience and support while we picked up the pieces (and sanity) to finish this demo. It really means a lot to us. We’d love for you to try it, share your thoughts, and let us know what you think. Every bit of feedback helps us move forward. And if you haven’t yet, don’t miss our other game, Silent Fangs: Stealthy Vampire’s Tale, which also has its demo live right now. Two different projects, one tiny (and very tired) team behind them both. – Vesvese StudiosRead full article on Community Announcements (Teberzin)AnnouncementsOfficial
Way of Madness Demo is Out... Technically
Way of Madness Demo is Out... TechnicallyOur first demo for Way of Madness is almost here. Technically, it is here but due to our artist’s hard drive burning out (literally... We lost a lot of the artworks last week) and our developer keep sleeping due to Cthulhu’s curses, half of the game is missing. We’re working at full speed to finalize the full demo version. We’ll be updating the game soon, but we highly recommend waiting for the next announcement (you will also get e-mail if you wishlisted the game) before diving in. That’s when the complete demo will be released. In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord to say hi or wish us good luck. Or, even better, check out our hack ’n’ slash dark fantasy vampire massacre Silent Fangs: Stealthy Vampire’s Tale it’s good to go and, thankfully, not cursed. –Vesvese StudiosRead full article on Community Announcements (Teberzin)
