Lead your squad through the neon-lit streets of cyberpunk Odesa in Humanity Echo. As an engineer, craft each mission and outmaneuver opponents using the city’s tech-infused infrastructure.

About this game

YOU ARE NOT A SOLDIER. YOU ARE AN ENGINEER.

Humanity Echo is a turn-based tactical RPG set in cyberpunk Odesa, 2044.

Take contracts, prepare your squad, and turn the city's infrastructure against your enemies.

Your father disappeared inside a Prospect Corp facility. Following his trail draws you into a conflict among resistance cells, criminal crews, fanatics, and the corporation tightening its hold on Odesa.

"Thoughtful, grid-based firefights... where stray bullets can impact the field."

ENGINEER THE BATTLEFIELD

Every mission is a tactical problem. Spend Action Points to move, attack, support your squad, and interact with the battlefield.

Plan the trajectory, not only the hit chance.

  • Systems, Not Scenery: Cut power, trigger hazards, open routes, and turn tactical objects into advantages.

  • Every Shot Travels: A miss can strike something behind the target or put your own squad at risk.

  • Fight Under Pressure: Objectives, limited supplies, and reinforcements force you to adapt.

PREPARE FOR EVERY CONTRACT

The fight begins before deployment.

Choose your squad, equip weapons and armor, pack medical supplies and tactical tools, and prepare for the risks ahead. Different operatives cover different roles, but no single loadout solves every mission.

  • Build Around the Mission: Combine operatives, weapons, abilities, and equipment around the objective and threats ahead.

  • Grow Through Action: Operatives improve the skills they actually use in the field.

  • Make the Loot Matter: Equip what you found, build around it, or sell it to fund the next job.

ODESA REMEMBERS

Every operation leaves a mark on the people and factions of Odesa.

Between missions, messages, calls, files, and new leads carry those consequences back into a sun-bleached city.

  • The Terminal Connects the City: Follow contracts, contacts, evidence, and new mission leads.

  • People Remember: Later conversations and events reflect what you said, whom you helped, and what happened in the field.

  • Every Alliance Has a Price: Choose whom to trust as competing powers pursue conflicting goals.

PLAY THE DEMO

Play the opening chapter of Humanity Echo and experience:

  • Turn-based tactical missions with Action Points, cover, abilities, environmental interactions, and missed shots that keep travelling across the battlefield.

  • Your first operatives, weapons, equipment, inventory, and character progression.

  • A story prologue with interactive locations, conversations, terminal sequences, and early player choices.

Download the demo, test your approach, and share your feedback.

📡 PLANNED FOR EARLY ACCESS

Early Access is planned to expand this foundation with:

  • Tactical Maps That Change: Fight across handcrafted maps where cover can be destroyed, hazards alter safe routes, and reinforcements reshape the encounter.

  • Contracts and Factions: Take story missions and faction jobs, build reputation, unlock new opportunities, and face the consequences of choosing sides.

  • Loot, Mods, and Workshop: Expand your arsenal with new weapons, armor, modifications, skills, perks, supplies, and workshop upgrades.

  • A City That Responds: Mission outcomes influence district pressure, faction behavior, vendors, prices, and the leads available to your squad.

  • A Broader Campaign: Discover new locations, characters, enemy factions, story arcs, difficult choices, and local outcomes across Odesa.

Wishlist Humanity Echo and follow its road to Early Access.

    0.0.7 - Engineering Mindset Update

🔧 Engineering Mindset Update is live Hello, engineers. 0.0.7 is our biggest demo update so far. We analyzed feedback from playtests, streams, and internal walkthroughs, and focused on what matters most for the first impression: rewritten narrative, clearer combat, richer sound, modern UI, and a more stable experience overall. This is not the final shape of Humanity Echo – but 0.0.7 is much closer to how the game should feel. Watch the updated gameplay walkthrough: ⚔️ Combat & TacticsNeural Flow system – perform bold tactical moves and earn Action Badges (Kill Confirmed, Momentum, Blindside, Boom, Godlike, Close Quarters). Each badge grants an instant buff and rewards aggressive action chains. Added battle tutorials for skip turn (Space), reload (R), healing, and squad switching (Tab) — based directly on playtest feedback. Improved reinforcement cinematics – troops deploy from the Avi shuttle with turbine audio, unfolding animations, and target-facing behavior. Character movement is now one smooth path instead of tile-by-tile stepping. Camera follows the full trajectory. Added AI turn speed toggle. Improved battle camera with better framing and screen shake on crits and explosions (can be disabled in settings). Fixed mission objective counting – significantly fewer cases where battles could get stuck at the end. Melee characters now properly close distance before striking. Grenade targeting is much more reliable and no longer lands at your feet. Added ammo-specific shell casings on higher graphics settings. Battle hotkeys 1–5 open quick slots with clear feedback. 📜 Story & DialogueMajor dialogue rewrite – early tutorial and main quest dialogues reworked for sharper character voices, more tension, a darker tone, and choices that feel meaningful. Reworked early quest flow – progression feels more natural, quest completions no longer trigger too early. Improved dialogue choice descriptions, reward outcomes, and character-driven moments across several early scenes. Chanc...

    UPLINK 0.0.7.pre: Visuals & Roadmap

Attention, Operatives. The grid has been updated. Update 0.0.7.pre is now live on the Demo/Playtest branch. We’ve worked non-stop to align the current build with our final vision for Odesa 2044. Here is your decrypted status report: what’s new, where we’re heading, and what’s currently broken. 🖼️ Stabilizing the Visual IdentityIf you jack into the new build, you’ll immediately notice a massive change in the environments. We’ve replaced a huge number of background assets and locations. Why? To lock in our signature “Warm Cyberpunk” aesthetic. We are officially moving away from early concept drafts. Every district, room, and street is being stabilized to feel cohesive, lived-in, and gritty. This is a major leap toward our final Art Direction. 🗺️ The Master Plan (Our Roadmap)Behind the scenes, we’ve finalized our long-term roadmap. We want to be fully transparent about the future of Humanity Echo: Early Access Goal: Strict focus on a premium, highly polished single-player experience. EA 1.0 targets a 20+ hour narrative campaign (Acts I–IV), 12 reactive districts with the dynamic Heat system, and deep, engineer-first tactical combat. Post-Launch Vision: PvP Skirmishes, Co-op operations, and clan networking are already built into the architecture but officially planned for post-launch updates. We refuse to let feature creep delay the core game. Perfect single-player first, multiplayer later. ⚠️ Known Glitch in the Matrix: Audio BalanceFull transparency: The audio system in 0.0.7.pre is not yet balanced. Some SFX may be missing, too loud, or poorly mixed. Reality: As the solo lead developer handling code, systems, art integration, and UI simultaneously, I had to prioritize visual and mechanical stability in this patch. A comprehensive audio mixing pass is scheduled for upcoming updates once the visual foundation is fully locked. Thank you for playing the demo, sharing feedback, and wishlisting the game. Your support keeps this project alive. 🔌 Jack into 0.0.7.pre, explore...
