About this game

Improvised Tactics is a single player game where you lead a small army to victory!

There are several features that let you control your army. You can tell your units where to go or play as them for a boots on the ground experience.

Improvised Tactics will offer three game modes.

Conquest Mode:

In Conquest Mode you are fighting a resource war in a grid based world map. You can customize your soldiers and squads. You may also invade enemy territory to get stronger although beware you can be invaded as well.

In the overview map you must build infrastructure to support and raise your army! Using your resources, you can build an economy to buy weapons and equipment.

Sandbox Mode:

In Sandbox Mode you are able to use the unit customization features of Conquest Mode in a free setting. The sandbox maps are designed to put your custom units against enemies in arenas.

Scenario Mode:
In Scenario Mode you are given objectives that you must complete. You are given money that you can use to buy units to help complete your job. Some scenarios involve you defending against enemy waves, while in other scenarios you are on the offensive and you must destroy enemy objectives.

ːsteammockingːThis is a huge update for the demo! Almost every part of the game has been touched in one way or another. There is so many changes so I am only going to focus on the biggest modifications for the most part. Expect changes that are not listed.Conquest battlesConquest procedural generated maps have been completely reworked. Instead of islands connected with bridges, there are now forest with lakes, villages and enemy outpost littered around.Conquest battles now use the objective system of Scenarios mode.Conquest battles are lost when all friendly units are deployed and dead.Gunplay tweaksRunning and gunning is much easier now. There is no more weapon sway from animations. The aiming reticle when controlling units is now much more accurate (keep in mind that there is bullet deviation). Cover changesCover is now directional (units can take cover on different sides of most cover objects).Cover should be more stable and less buggy.Friendly units will have a purple path showing their path to reach cover. This path is visible even when the unit is not selected.UI reworksNew 3D retro mini mapButtons and text are now modular.Buttons have animations.Button sounds have been modified.Almost all UI menus have been remade or heavily modified.New text font.Bunch of changes in the backend so new UI can be implemented faster.VisualsClouds are now in the game.Post process effects have been tweaked. Some materials such as bricks can now be shiny under certain circumstances.New tree models. Some maps have been adjusted slightly and in different ways.FixesConquest notifications have been fixed (hopefully).Sensitivity should feel better now.A bunch of other stuff that I have not kept note of. That's all, Have a good one!

Turning it off makes lighting more realistic. (I recommend turning CelShade on for now).Slight ragdoll changes.Unit navigation should be less flawed now, units shouldn't get stuck on each other as much now.Conquest mode in general should be more stable.Slow MotionWhen pressing L-Alt when playing as a commander or unit, slow motion will be enabled.Slow motion currently has no limit.Slow motion when playing as a unit will cause the unit to have less bullet deviation. Conquest Market/shopProduction has been removed from the game (likely to return in the future). Items that had to be produced such as accessories and improvised guns can now just be bought.Buying and selling equipment is now in the same menu.Reworked market UI.Conquest Mobilization changesThe construction and mobilization of your army is now much more flexible, the old system forced units to have a specific weapon or accessory depending on the template save, ...
