Molten Knight - Playtest Launch Announcement

Hello, and thank you for your interest in Molten Knight!I'm Maciej, the developer behind the game. Together with a small team, I've been working on a fresh take on the deckbuilder genre and today we're finally opening the gates (of hell). What is Molten Knight?Molten Knight is a roguelite deckbuilder played on a 1D grid, where positioning matters as much as your cards. You play as a broken, molten knight fighting his way through the circles of hell, discovering powerful tools, strange events, and a story of betrayal and revenge along the way.Everything is presented in highly detailed, hand-drawn pixel art, with every character animated frame by frame. What makes it different? We're building (and heavily playtesting) a few systems we think set Molten Knight apart:Heat — your core resource rises every turn, fueling your most powerful plays. But let it hit the cap and it starts burning you. Ride the edge or play it safe — that tension drives every battleMovement — battles play out on a line, so where you stand is a weapon in itselfMarks — infusion and sacrifice marks let you permanently enhance your cards and shape your buildDialogue & events — the road through hell is full of choices, encounters, and storyWe're currently in late alpha: the core systems are in place, and we're focused on balancing and building out the content for the demo, which we plan to present during the Steam Next Fest. How you can support Molten KnightTwo things would help us enormously:Wishlist the game on Steam - it genuinely makes a huge difference for a small teamJoin the playtest - we've soft-launched a very early alpha. Try it, get a feel for the game, and help us balance it. We'd love to hear what you think!Thank you for being here at the start of the journey.Maciej, for the team
