Redshift is a short solo developed psychological narrative horror game where you close your eyes to reveal a hidden layer of reality, the REDSHIFT.

You play as Samuel Chase, a field technician sent by Northline Communications to restore power to a long‑abandoned military relay tower deep in the hills. The job feels routine, but is quickly revealed to be something much more. By activating the tower and starting the REDSHIFT, you reveal things that were never meant to be seen.

REDSHIFT Patch Notes - 0.3.1More bug fixes and accessibility. (As well as GOOD NEWS!)Bug FixesAccessibility - High contrast Redshift, which sets the stencil to blue, is now fully working before AND during the Redshift. This should help those with vision impairment!Player can no longer clip their camera through the building's exterior.Facility doors are no longer deafening.Door sounds no longer always play when starting the Redshift. The Faraday cage door now replays its opening sound after multiple openings.Disabled the \ interaction prompt on the tower's ladders while already climbing.Removed a testing ladder from the roof. TweaksWhen grabbed, the players eyes are now forced open to see the signal man, resulting in a better scare.More Good News! While I wont share all the details yet, REDSHIFT has been accepted to a special program for development. There will be a team of 3-4 working on REDSHIFT! This will be a LONG process, and I'll update on the community hub. You can expect the possibility of a new story, level, and much more gameplay. All coming middle of next year.Known IssuesSome settings do not persist correctly between intro, game, and ending.Escape to menu does not work during credits.

    REDSHIFT Patch Notes - 0.2.12

REDSHIFT Patch Notes - 0.2.12Man. Ladders are HARD to make. The Ladder ReworkFor a long, long time, ladders have been one of the biggest pain points in REDSHIFT. Unknown to many, they can actually be extremely hard to pull off well. Until now, REDSHIFT has had a floating interaction box that you just simply "fly" up and down. That all changes today! The Technical JargonLadders now are their own custom blueprint that implements the interaction system the rest of REDSHIFT uses. When you approach a ladder, you now enter a small animation to grab and climb it all the way to the top! There are two transform spots per ladder, and the game finds the closest one, which is a simple and easy way to determine if you are at the top or bottom and which way to "climb". In the future, I might add the ability to let go early, as well as work on creating/connecting a better animation.Known IssuesSorry, no bug fixes this patch. Wanted to get this big pain point out first!Player's camera can clip through exterior facility walls. This is more of a complex fix and will looked at for next patch. Some settings do not persist correctly between intro, game, and ending.High Contrast mode still does not yet function properly during the REDSHIFT sequence. I haven't had time to work on this while pushing out the lighting update, but it's now on my list! Escape to menu does not work during credits. (Sorry, guess you'll have to look at all the cool people who've worked on REDSHIFT for now.)Door sounds always play on Redshift activation, even when not intended.Facility doors are too loud when stacked. Above bug should solve this but it's on the list anyways.Faraday Cage Door doesn’t play the open/close sound more than once.

Now that mechanics are getting polished to the point of full completion, more story content is beginning to be added.Respawn! Sam complained to me that too many of you were tossing yourselves off, so with a few collider adjustments it's now impossible.Fixed a mouse click requirement on first startup.Faraday Cage Door no longer plays the confirmation beep if it was already open.Fixed an issue where the player couldn’t walk through the new fence near the tower without crouching.Known Issu...
