About this game

Overview

Pulsebreaker is a classic survival horror game inspired by classics from the Playstation 1 Era. It blends tense exploration and puzzle solving with light action mechanics, forcing you to carefully manage resources, choose what to carry, and decide which paths to take. When cornered utilize the Focus Meter to make every shot count and conserve your precious ammo while beating back the undead or worse. Every decision matters and a single mistake could mean a grisly end at the hands of zombies and other freakish creatures.

Navigate tight corridors, evade the undead, and use your limited ammo and items wisely if you hope to survive the horrors ahead. Collect ammo, medicine, and other useful items to help you survive a city crawling with the undead and worse. Think strategically as you manage your dwindling supplies, knowing when to fight and when to flee is critical.

Chain multi-stagger combos, land critical headshots, and deliver well-timed melee kicks to keep enemies at bay with the Focus Meter. Survival still demands skill, timing, and control. Master your tools, or be overwhelmed by the numerous zombies seeking to feast on your flesh. But don’t get comfortable. The Focus Meter doesn’t make you overpowered; it simply levels the playing field and only when mastering it can you hope to truly excel.

Danger lurks around every corner. Presented in a beautifully crafted PS1-inspired visual style with fixed camera angles, Pulsebreaker drops you into claustrophobic environments filled with relentless threats. Discover the lore of a world run amok with the living dead.

    Demo Update #1

Hey guys, hope you're all doing well! Thanks for playing the demo of Pulsebreaker and leaving your thoughts. I've updated a few things to hopefully make the game a lot better for you all. Below are the new changes! New ChangesNew ways to acquire Focus Meter.Enemy grab ranges adjusted. Focus Meter UpdatedIn the previous version of the game, you had to expend precious resources to fill your Focus Meter. The Focus Meter grants you several useful abilities to defend yourself against the numerous zombies. However, the previous system punished you too heavily if you misused the meter or didn't properly execute a Perfect Shot. Furthermore, some players felt it was never worth using the meter for anything other than shooting--since Perfect Shot was the superior option in every situation. Now you can also refill your meter by evading enemy attacks and grabs! In other words, if you manage to get out of the way before a zombie grabs you, you'll fill a small portion of your Focus meter. This means that charging up Focus still requires skill but you don't have to use your ammo. You can continue using ammo to fill your meter, of course. However, since there are multiple ways of restoring Focus, you can use the meter more often and experiment with other combat abilities without feeling like you've "misused" it. Enemy Grab Ranges AdjustedPlayers were frequently voicing their discontent over how it seemed like zombies could "teleport" to your location to grab you. Zombie grab ranges have now been adjusted to alleviate this issue. However, if the problem persists, please let me know here so I can continue adjusting the solution. Anyway, thank you guys for continuing with me on this journey! I appreciate the feedback and I will continue making the game better for you all. Have a great day!
