Action, Indie · More free games
Explore delinquent alleyways and towering skyscrapers as you battle through a neon-lit urban landscape in NEVER SAFE IN DELAWARE, an intense action game from the minds of Team Lumba.
About this game
Take control of three of America’s most dangerous fugitives in a breakneck, intense battle against the scum and criminals infesting the city.

NEVER SAFE IN DELAWARE is built on a kinetic combat system inspired by the best games in the action genre to achieve precise gunplay and satisfying melee combat.
Fight your way through crank-pushing gangsters, men in black, and secret paramilitary death squads. Swap between each of the three characters on the fly, each with a unique arsenal and skill set, as they fight to make a daring escape from the worst city in America.

More guns than the Army. Wield flamethrowers, nailguns, Saturday Night Specials, and RPGs to dispatch, melt, and pulverize your enemies. With 20+ weapons divided between the three characters, combat stays varied and unpredictable.

A CITY UNDER THE BLADE: A NATION DIVIDED
In the aftermath of a country-wide civil war, Delaware has been transformed into a prison state. Criminals from every neighboring power are sent there, ruled by a heavily militarized city-state government. Declared one of the worst cities in the Western Hemisphere, Delaware becomes the battleground for three lowlifes: a vagabond, a rat, and a pastor, who are pulled into a deadly conspiracy. Against all odds, they become America’s most unlikely heroes as they fight to escape the prison city.
The story of NEVER SAFE IN DELAWARE is brought to life with full voice acting and expressive sprite animation.

Patch NotesOfficial
Pretty sizeable demo update
Hi everyone. This is GzLoaf, project director of NEVER SAFE IN DELAWARE.I first wanna thank everyone who played the demo and gave their feedback. The overall positive reception has motivated us to keep working hard on the game. People have also had some problems with the demo, and we've been working on addressing them. I realize I haven't really been putting out proper patch notes, and I apologize. To summarize the updates before this one, I've mainly been fixing tons of weird bugs, I've also addressed issues with the game's interaction with certain refresh rates, sped up the load times, and have been putting out various optimization fixes. I've also recently put out an update that allows you to swap characters with the number keys, which has been highly requested. This latest update is the first big one, that makes very significant changes to the game, and I'd like to go through each of them.MedkitsA common complaint I've gotten is the lack of a proper heal ability, with characters only replenishing health after dying. We've now added medkits to the level that will heal whatever character you pick them up with.Enemy behaviorI'm sure you've all noticed how bad the enemy behavior in the game has been, lol. They kinda just blindly fire at you even when you're behind a wall. I've now made it so enemies won't shoot at you if there's something blocking their view.Improved artSome environmental art has been lacking, mainly in the first stage where, outside of the restaurant, you enter a very plain, boring-looking building. We changed that building to a hotel, with the first floor being a lobby and the higher floor being a room.Even though it's just a visual change, it makes the level feel more like an actual place and not just... a level.male living spaceWe've also fleshed out other outside areas with more background detail, mainly buildings. This is a small taste of what we want the final game to look like. The environments should be just as fleshed out as the characters.Th...Read full article on Community Announcements (GzLoaf)AnnouncementsOfficial
