About this game
Become a Gnome
Prepare to invade the houses of unsuspecting humans along with up to 5 friends of your choice. After finding your way in, take anything you want. Human laws don't apply to gnomes! Just try to be stealthy...
Do your job
While burgling is a very productive activity on its own, you also need to do your job. The High-Gnome won't transport you around for nothing, so you must complete tasks for him to stay on his good side! Failing to complete enough tasks might get you fired...
Craft and Upgrade
Some of the stuff you find is useful as is, however a certain amount of repurposing is often needed to fit the specific needs of gnomes. Craft equipment, build functional furniture, and upgrade your home with the burglin' haul.
Stay safe
Gnomes are small and fragile, and often hunted by other beings. Interact with the environment and use your equipment to slow down any hostile meanies. Stay vigilant, and be ready to rescue one another. The High-Gnome doesn't like resurrecting unworthy gnomes...

Burgle a... Plushie?
Hey all,Something a little different this time, I'm partnering with Youtooz to see if you all would like your own Burglin' Gnome plushie!Initially there was only a week's time to get 200 votes, but it was extended since votes kept still coming in! If the goal is reached it will be made into a real thing, if we don't hit it there won't be one :(I was thinking the Discord alone would be enough to get the vote over the finish line, but it seems like we need the entire community's help from Steam too!Vote through the link below:https://youtooz.com/products/burglin-gnomes-plush-9-inchThe good thing about how this plushie is handled is that it takes little to no time from me at all! Youtooz handles everything and I just need to approve certain aspects and provide them with feedback, leaving me time to work on other things ;)Keep Burglin,FobriRead full article on Community Announcements (Fobri)Patch NotesOfficial
Update 1.0.10
This patch fixes some of the longer standing issues. Some of them were quite hard to figure out which is why they took a while! - Fixed tase a gnome task not working - Made the wind not activate on mountaintop while the vortex was active, this could cause you to fall and lose your gear - Made kissing garden gnomes easier (the angle check was too narrow and it could be a bit difficult to give smooches in certain cases) - Blender can now be properly smashed with equipment, instead of it breaking completely - Fixed the equipment stand deleting equipment if you had multiple of the same category and tried to put equipment on it - Improved the visibility of the key to make it easier to see in darker spots - Performance improvements on the GPU side - Fixed enemies spawning outside the fence and becoming stuck on Suburbs - Fixed rare house generation bug which caused missing walls and other issues near the stairway - FobriRead full article on Community Announcements (Fobri)Patch NotesOfficial
Post launch update - Thank you!
Hello everyone!Burglin' Gnomes had an amazing launch month, selling over 500k copies in its first three weeks on Steam! Thank you to everyone who played the game, I could have never imagined a silly game about gnomes that I started on a whim to gather so much interest!I took some time off to relax and get my head in order the past few weeks. Right now I am working towards another bug fix update after which I will decide what I will be doing next. After I get the bug fix patch done, I will go over all the suggestions in the Discord #suggestions channel, as well as the Steam forums to see what features the community would want to see the most. I have new content ideas that I want to implement as well.As for when a new content update might be dropping, I have no timeline for that yet. I have been working hard for over a year now on the game, and especially during the last few months leading up to the launch I could feel my creativity dwindling due to the high workload and stress. I do not want to add content just for the sake of adding things to hit some 'content update quota' if the content is boring and not inspired as a result. One of the most compelling ideas I have right now is to experiment with different game modes. In particular, I have really been thinking about an asymmetric pvp game mode, where one player could play the human (possibly even in VR??). I have seen it requested by the community a lot, and it really does seem like it could bring an entirely new aspect to the game.Implementing a new game mode like that is quite a lot of work though and would take a while. I understand you would also appreciate just a basic content update too, so I will take some time to come up with an update plan or a roadmap of sorts. So if you have ideas and suggestions now is the perfect time to voice them!To celebrate hitting the 500k milestone the game will also go on sale next week on Friday 17th!Thank you everyone,FobriRead full article on Community Announcements (Fobri)Press Coverage

Hotfix 3
Hello, another quick patch with a few fixes - Made bees despawn a while after stinging if they are not picked up - Fixed pepperspray the human task not being completeable - Fixed the human trying to reach at players on the first floor through the floor while being upstairs - Fixed "blowdart a gnome" tasks appearing in single player - Fixed blowdarts causing some weird behaviour while trying to equip them and switch between other equipment - Made CPR always succeed after a certain timeframe to prevent 60s cpr sessions due to bad rng - Made the system which checks for item counts in rooms require some extra items for "steal from room" tasks instead of the exact amount in case a few of them break or end up lost - Fixed microwave explosion not counting for explosion task - Nerfed mountaintop wind, now it wont ragdoll you on its own - Slowed down the difficulty scaling in early game, now enemies only start spawning on their own on day 5 instead of day 3 - Reduced Bibi spawnrate, increased Lizzy spawnrate - Fixed being able to craft items while having a full inventory in certain cases Thank you for reporting bugs and playing, everyone! - FobriRead full article on Community Announcements (Fobri)
