Navigate the perilous corridors of an abandoned, flooding facility as you work together or alone to solve puzzles and overcome challenges. Flood Descendance offers deep strategy and adventure in a unique delverlike experience by nofacegames.
About this game
Flood Descendance is a unique spin on the delverlike genre. Race against a relentless flood as you work with up to 5 other players to escape a flooded, abandoned facility. Every floor is a race against a flood that never waits.
DESCEND OR DROWN
Enter floors with one key objective: descend to the next. Work fast and smart to activate buttons, twist valves, fuel generators and more, all while outrunning the flood to make it to the escape elevator, without drowning.
PARKOUR YOUR WAY TO SAFETY
Master agility to stay one step ahead. Jump and climb your way through tower sections where the wrong step can leave you falling into a pit of molten lava.
SURVIVE THE FLOOD
Whether it be water, acid or lava, the flood does not stop. Swim through flooded sections while watching your (limited) oxygen.
GO DEEPER WITH STRATEGY
Spend your XP on permanent, team-wide upgrades such as increased oxygen and faster movement while floors get progressively harder the deeper you descend.
WORK TOGETHER (or not...)
Success is easier with teamwork, but not everyone's fit to be a hero. Split up to cover more ground, work together on teamwork-required puzzles, revive drowned teammates, or leave them behind if it means reaching the elevator yourself. Just remember: it's [E] to push.
DISCOVER THE STORY OR DESCEND DEEPER
Experience a handcrafted campaign to uncover Flodtech's secrets and the horrors left behind by those who used to work there, or test your limits by descending as deep as possible through procedurally generated floors.*
(Campaign mode is currently in development and will be available by public release.)

You're all very welcome. Go descend while I work on v.0.3 now-NoFaceGames(p.s. i fixed 2 other bugs, one where the shop elevator still wouldn't move on exit, and smth to do with the loading screen text never saying loading even when it's supposed to but its funnier if its only one patch note shh)Read full article on Community Announcements (nofaceredux)Patch NotesOfficial
v.0.2.5.1
Good morning fellow Descenders, alright so I hope y'all have been having fun with the new voice chat update. I haven't, because my friend group's sense of humor involves making suggestive noises with their mouths and screaming into their mic as loud as possible, but it was my fault being friends with them. Oh well.this update basically just focuses on bug fixes related to the voice chat update, alongside a TON of networking improvements to finally fix bugs related to disconnects and softlocks. sorry it took this long, wanted to get this out of the way before v.0.3 lolI'm running out of ways to call "patch notes":Added ability to adjust voice chat volume per-player (blame one of my friends)Added ability to talk with all players (including drowned ones) after descending (on the XP breakdown screen)Added full credits (and improved existing credits so i dont get sued lmao)Improved chat to be proximity-based (like voice chat). Messages will not be sent to players far away, and dead players can no longer talk to alive players.Improved some networking code to instead log errors instead of silently failImproved map loading to wait for all players to load the map fully before starting the game to fix map start desync. Also returned the "Get ready... 3" text from v.0.1.7 since y'all wanted it backImproved jump animation. Legs no longer move so I hope the player character no longer looks weirdImproved stopwatch to only start counting once the map's entry doors have openedImproved map voting skip once all players in lobby have voted for a map to also account for player disconnects, because those 10 seconds you save are very important to you apparently :/Adjusted voice chat cutoff distance from 10m to 20mFixed many instances where disconnects would be ignored, resulting in softlocks or inaccurate UI states.Fixed simulatenous buttons STILL not updating to the timer mode when only 1 player was left alive due to playersAlive being subtracted from twice when a player disconnects, lea...Read full article on Community Announcements (nofaceredux)AnnouncementsOfficial
v.0.2.5
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" is what i'm gonna hear in my lobby after this updateHoy gamers and welcome to v.0.2.5! This relatively small update adds a pretty small but necessary feature to FD, for that is Proximity Voice Chat!Genuinely really hated working on this update, because... well... playtesting was very time-consuming. but we dids it anyways lmaooI'd like to give my deepest condolences to your ears after this update as I foresee that lobbies will be very noisy (especially after you push your friend into lava for the umteenth time.)And with that, it's notes time. (for... the patches):Added proximity voice chatFixed a grammatical error "Waiting for host start game" LMAOFixed a softlock (due to a really weird edge case) where simultaneous buttons would ignore when players disconnectFixed being unable to access the menu in the loading screen due to like... navigation issues with the player list or smth idk honestlyFixed toggling between Keyboard and Controller keybinds taking an extra click for some reasonFixed many more minor buggy wuggieswow that was shortNow for some news I'm happy about: this is the final content update for the v.0.2.x version cycle. The next major update, v.0.3, will be worked on next, which includes fully procedurally-generated maps! I anticipate this update will be quite painful to work on, so expect some time for this update to come out. Thanks for playing Flood Descendance, see you in the next oneRead full article on Community Announcements (nofaceredux)Patch NotesOfficial
