Demo Update 1.2 - Drag and then also Drop
Gidday, last time I promised y'all a nice little update with some new content in the demo for being so patient with the upcoming release. So that's what I've decided to do, along with the help from some incredible community members in the Discord. Check out the new trailer:I said maybe a new weapon, well it's been a minute so here's two weapons. Also a new enemy type, status effects for weapons and some fixes/improvements.Two things I had to include in this update is the drag and drop feature, something I'm still working out how to best strategise with myself. It's quite a handy tool when you want to drag a vapor.exe away from the Defrag Collector that would be really useful to use right after, or putting a couple lemwire.exe's next to one another to process them at the same time. I'm really curious to see how this gets used by you lot.The other big thing is localisation. Something that's not only been highly requested, but also lots of you have expressed interest in contributing help with translating the game to your beautiful languages. So with the help of a few friendly folk in the Discord we've already got Croatian, Russian and Indonesian translations in this build. We've extensively tested it so every part imaginable can be translated, support for additional languages like Chinese, Korean and Japanese should be doable, and not only that - anyone can try their hand at it and easily mod any language in by simply adding a new file. Below will be more details on how this all works. With that said, below is the changelog for this update, at least, the things I remember changing.New WeaponsBubbles - a floating bubbles screensaver that damages over time and adds stacks of Infect to enemies.Paint - draws circles and fills them in that damage over time and add stacks of Lag to enemies.Status EffectsHeat, Lag, and Infect are stackable status effects on enemies. Every half second they affect the enemy and reduce by 20% until stacks have depleted.Heat damages the enemy.Lag ...Read full article on Community Announcements (Shaun Hammond Business Solutions)Patch NotesOfficial
Warmfix Update and 38,000 Wishlists!
Hello! Long time no see, basically just wanted to share how things are ticking along and let y'all know that the demo has a new minor update - think hotfix but it's like time has passed so a warmfix if you will, with some much requested QoL additions and a couple nasty bugs that affected a small amount of folks.Main thing is, update! Below is the changelog, it's not incredibly exciting but the nicest part is the ability to speed up certain animations like the level up slowdowns, BigWave progress and Plugin Installers. There's a new setting to control the speed of some things and in BigWave or Installer you can hold down Click to speed things up, just like the boot sequence. Fixed leveling up while opening a Safe Folder completely breaking a run.Added Keygen music.Added Playstation controller light support, corresponds to current health.Added Animation Speed option in settings menu to speed up things like the level up screen showing and closing.Added support for closing menus with the X close buttons. Added descriptions for player stats in the Stats Manager Menu.Added a limiter to the sound bus, specifically for blowing up multiple Mines at once with Vapor.exe causing deafness.Added new sounds for things like successful RAM downloads, individual spam ads, HP pickups and more.Added rarity colours to upgrades in BigWave.Added tooltips to the buttons in the Plugin Installer screen.Skips in the Plugin Installers now refund the Key.Sped up Vapor time.Clicking during a Plugin Installer or BigWave now speeds up the process.Changed pressing any key to just clicking to confirm BigWave installs.Updated some tooltips for files like BigWave and Zips.Luck now affects the success rate of zip and ram files.Fixed RTL system languages causing the game's UI to flip completely.Fixed cursor being able to leave the screen while waiting for a Plugin Installer to process.Fixed stats at the end of the game not displaying correct numbers for weapon stats.Fixed tooltips flipping orientation i...Read full article on Community Announcements (Shaun Hammond Business Solutions)Press Coverage
Antivirus Survivors 2003 Professional is a charming 2000s, Windows XP take on the Vampire Survivors formula
Vampire Survivors clones! They're a dime a dozen these days, primarily because poncle created an admittedly very strong template to mimic. This week's bullet heaven, as the genre has come to be known, is a charming little entry called Antivirus Survivors 2003 Professional, a take on the format that imagines a world where your Windows XP running computer's icons all want to kill you. 13,000 Wishlists and Next Fest
Howdy howdy, back so soon but also like a day or so late with this. Just wanted to recap on the launch of the demo, how it went and Next Fest. I'll have more updates on what's coming next and the exciting things to look forward to in a future post.Stats are cool, over 6,000 players have come through to play the demo, Wishlists have more than doubled to now 13,000! Somehow over 500 of you have played for more than 3 hours, like stop! It's only a demo! Overall I couldn't be happier with the response, 10k before Next Fest was a pipe dream goal I wasn't really sure could be reached, but here we are after lingering around 2,000 last month. How did we get here? Thanks to some fantastic coverage from media and content creators. Getting the demo trailer on IGN was an unexpected treat.Joel Vargskelethor of Vinesauce had a fun stream. Having Joel play made some waves in the Discord as the community overlap here is massive and Vinesauce had some diehard fans already invested in this game. Nyanners also checked it out, VOD below. And so did a handful of others like Mynthos!Very recently a bit of attention over on Twitter from Japanese accounts Godaka and Denfami got some much appreciated traffic this way just before Next Fest started too.Now with Next Fest here, I'm excited to see more players come through and enjoy the demo! If you've played already and want to help in any way the best thing you can do is let some friends know about it. Any bit of word of mouth is truly appreciated.Stay followed, wishlisted and connected through socials for the more spicy updates soon.
