Navigate the unpredictable paths of Scorefall, a strategy game where each drop of ball could lead to victory or defeat. Choose wisely among upgrades to build your winning synergy.

About this game

Scorefall is a calm plinko-inspired roguelite where you drop balls into a chaotic field of pegs, chase high scores, and build powerful upgrade combos as you progress through 50 increasingly challenging rounds. Deep progression systems, strategic choices, and a relaxed lo-fi aesthetic. Chill out and drop some balls.

A local artist and musician created ALL the art and music for Scorefall.

Generative AI was not and will NEVER be used for any art, video or music!

Drop. Bounce. Score.

Each ball you drop has a multiplier. Each bucket has a point value. When a ball lands in a bucket, its multiplier is applied to that bucket's score. Hit your target score each round to advance.

Choose Upgrades After Every Round

After completing a round, you’ll choose one of three upgrades that modify your balls, pegs, or buckets. Each upgrade has a rarity that affects its power.

Visit the Relic Shop

After every five rounds, you’ll enter the Relic Shop where you can purchase powerful relics using coins collected during your run. Relics provide global effects that can dramatically shift your strategy.

Meta Progression

Every ball you use during a run contributes to your Meta Ball total. These Meta Balls can be spent to unlock permanent upgrades that make future runs easier and more customizable. Increase your chances of finding rare upgrades, reduce your drop randomness, unlock Rerolls and more.

Challenges

Challenges are unlocked after successfully completing Round 50. Challenges increase the difficulty of each run significantly; a larger drop zone, higher score requirements, more expensive relics and less upgrade choices are just some of the obstacles you will face. Completing Round 50 with a Challenge activated will unlock a new Challenge, with 10 in total to overcome.

Update 1.0.10 - Speed Controls, Achievement Fixes & Options Menu Polish

Scorefallers! There are almost 500 of you now that have played the game, thank you so much for all the hours you all have spent dropping balls, and probably swearing at your screen. First off, Scorefall is 30% off for the Steam Spring Sale! Also a decently sized update today based on your feedback. Here's what's new: Game Speed Control You can now choose your preferred game speed - 1x, 2x, or 3x, right from the Options menu. Your preference saves automatically and carries across sessions. Great for those of you who want to crank through runs or slow things down to watch the chaos unfold. Achievement Fixes Two achievements were broken and I've fixed them both: "20 Coins" - collecting 20 coins in a single run now correctly tracks across all rounds. Previously the counter was resetting each round, making it impossible to earn. If you've been grinding this one, it should now unlock naturally as you play. "Big Spender" - same fix applies here. Spending accumulates properly across the full run now. Shoutout to ThatJioGuy for flagging the achievement issue! Options Menu Rebuilt and cleaned up the options panel on both the main menu and in-game. Everything should feel tighter and more consistent. Help Scorefall can be pretty addicting for a variety of reasons, like a lot of games. If you or someone you know needs help with problem gambling, you can get help. Thanks for the reports and for playing, keep the feedback coming! — Pat

    1.0.06 - Challenge 5 Fix

For some reason due to a recent change, when Challenge 5 was active, the buckets adjacent to the disabled bucket were exploding when the game scene loaded (one of my favorite bugs yet). That should be fixed, hopefully also addressed a bug around choosing upgrades and nothing happening.

    1.0.05 - Balls and Bugs

In an effort to combat some bugs players are finding, I updated a bunch of the code around explosions and balls being split. There is now more out of bounds detection so that hopefully the game won't soft-lock if balls find their way out of the playing area. I also disabled the outer left and right pegs to prevent these kind of bugs even more... Sorry not sorry if those pegs were part of your strategy. Thanks for the bug reports, feedback and reviews. It's pretty neat to see this thing become a real game.
