Stock consoles, run the register, interact and answer customer questions, customize your shop layout, and deal with great and not so great customers. Work solo or enjoy up to a 4 person co-op, manage inventory, unlock licenses, decorate with giant cardboard cutouts, and maybe even survive a return request without a receipt.
Order furniture, games, consoles, and accessories. Make sure to set the perfect price to maximize profits and customer satisfaction!
Customize your character with different outfits, hairstyles, or accessories.
Run the store with your friends! Remember, you're supposed to work together.
Play and unlock new walls, floors, posters and more! Make the store feel like your own.
Customers will sometimes need help navigating your store. Sometimes their their to pick up and order they placed over the phone.
Once your customers are ready to pay you can head to the register and get them sorted.
Place orders for your products and keep your shelves stocked! Keep an eye on your computer's email for the release schedule of any upcoming titles your customer's would want!

Presenting MIDNIGHT LAUNCH: A GameShop Sim
Back in February, we had our first public showing of the GameShop Simulator demo during Steam Next Fest. During that time, we received a ton of feedback about the game, all of which carried one central theme: the concept was fun, and the game showed a lot of promise, but it needed more time to cook. So, we got back in the kitchen, and we've been cooking. As a completely independent studio operating entirely on our own terms, we don't have deadlines or budgets to worry about. That's given the team the opportunity to do everything needed to make our game the absolute best it can be, including:An entirely new shopping center, with new stores, new environments, and a completely revamped game shopA complete rewrite of many game systems, including enhanced NPC behavior, better multiplayer connectivity, a revamped flow for stocking shelves and checking out customers, and hundreds of other improvementsBrand-new features like hiring and managing NPC employees, a fully overhauled progression tree, a proper tutorial, and a cleaner end-of-day experienceWith so much done to build the game into something truly special and unique, we felt it was only right to give it a new name that better encapsulates the feel of running an early '00s game shop. So, without further ado, we're pleased to announce that Midnight Launch: A GameShop Sim will be coming to Steam very soon! We're so excited to show off what we've been working on since February, and will have more to share on what we've done - and when you can play it - very soon. What's Next For GameShop Simulator?
Thank you to everyone who checked out the GameShop Simulator demo during Steam Next Fest! Now that the event is over, it's time to take down the demo, reflect on what we've learned, and start working on what comes next.Across all the feedback we received during the demo period, there are two big topics that have stuck out:Our game has a ton of potential, but...It also still needs a lot of workAs we've pointed out before, this is our team's very first game. We expected a lot of bug reports and glitchy behavior; what we didn't expect was that so many of those reports came with a note to the effect of "this game will be awesome once they've cleaned it up." That's given us a ton of motivation to put even more effort into making GameShop Simulator the best it can be.Getting this pre-alpha build of the game into your hands also helped us really nail down GameShop Sim's core identity. As a new studio, we're still learning how to identify what's going to resonate with players and what isn't. Bugs and glitches can be fixed. Knowing that we're on the right track conceptually is huge.So what's next? Well, for now, the demo is going offline for a while as we work on fixing bugs, cleaning up the gameplay loop, and implementing suggestions and other new features. We'll be pushing our target date for Early Access back a bit more, but we hope to make it worth the wait. We've got a LOT of ideas in mind for our next showing, and we hope to see you again next time GameShop Simulator opens its doors to the public. Keep your eyes peeled for more updates in the near future!Read full article on Community Announcements (devolore)Patch NotesOfficial
