About this game

"Welcome to Zero Hour Teahouse"
Through the Tiangong Network, Penglai Tech controls everything—your identity, your data, every move you make, all under their watch.
Unless you're a shadow hacker—no official ID, no trace in any system.
Zero Hour Teahouse looks like a cozy little virtual shop, but it's really a safe house for a crew of unregistered outcasts who live to cause chaos. And you? You're the newest sucker—nah, the chosen one.
"Comic-Book Style × Cyberpunk East"
Bold outlines, stylized visuals, and over-the-top effects make you feel like you're piloting a living cartoon. Traditional Eastern architecture peeks through the neon jungle, letting tradition and tech smash into each other right on your screen.
"High-Octane 3D Action Roguelike"
Tight controls, satisfying crunch, and total freedom to mix skills—string together your own insane combos and juggle enemies until they drop. Choose your upgrades and abilities to fit your run; there are countless ways to win. And every time you go down, you come back stronger.
——Zero Hour Teahouse. Come on in.

August Development Update
August was mainly about going back to the systems and content I had already built, and trying to make the overall gameplay experience better. One of my main goals this month was to make combat feel less repetitive and more dynamic. Here are some of the major changes I worked on:1. Better Enemy AI & More Distinct EnemiesI adjusted the AI behavior of enemies to make combat feel more dynamic and better paced.I also redesigned the skill mechanics of some enemies, with the goal of making their behaviors and combat roles more distinct. I want each type of enemy to create a slightly different combat situation, rather than having every fight come down to simply dodging attacks and hitting back. There is still plenty of room for improvement, but I think the combat is heading in a better direction.2. Skill Upgrade SystemThe skill upgrade system is now implemented!Previously, upgrading a skill was mainly about increasing its numbers. Now, some upgrades can also change how a skill works, adding new mechanics and creating more possibilities for different builds.I'm hoping this will make finding and upgrading skills feel more meaningful during a run.3. A Smarter, Build-Aware Loot SystemI also implemented a new loot system that takes the player's current build into account. The game now considers the skills and items you already have when determining future drops, and can adjust the probability of items from different builds appearing. The goal is to make it easier for players to find items that complement their current build, while still keeping some randomness and surprise in each run.Hopefully, this will make it easier to actually complete and experiment with different builds, rather than constantly getting items that don't work well together.4. More Polish & Gameplay ImprovementsI also spent time polishing various parts of the game, including environments, visual effects, and item mechanics. These are mostly smaller changes, but together they help make the game feel more complete a...Read full article on Community Announcements (782435373)
