About this game
A one-hour spellpunk narrative adventure game about pandemic, wizards, and first love.
Lauren is a conjuration junior at Crowstone Wizard's University who is bored and alone in the early weeks of pandemic lockdown. Unsure of what to do with her career after graduation, she faces a decision that will change the course of her life. Help to guide her through two days of isolation that could alter history itself — or not, if she doesn't feel like it.
Explore the neighbourhood of Crowhurst, a tabletop-roleplaying-inspired world of elves, goblins, and magic in its late 1980s. When the Spellphage begins under mysterious circumstances, causing those who are infected to lose their ability to use magic forever, Lauren must choose whether to retreat into comfortable hobbies or to do what she can to uncover the mysteries of her world. With its branching and dynamic narrative structure, there are no wrong choices, but no two playthroughs will be exactly alike!

Thank you so much to everyone who has played Spellphage so far, and a big extra thank you to those have left reviews. It means so much to us that others have been able to find enjoyment in our little game that we love! With Spellphage now out in the wild studio wtchcrft is fully focused on our next game, Fatemender. Fatemender is a card puzzle adventure game where you use cards and spells to craft a path and escape from purgatory. You play as the Weaver, a mysterious hooded figure who doesn't understand why they've ended up here. Along the way you'll meet the helpful (yet withholding) guide, Blinkus, and face off against a deck of Tarot-themed Fates who want to stop the Weaver from reaching the exit. The story unfolds across the levels as the Weaver tries to get answers from the Fates while trying to regain any of their memories. The story touches on themes of regret, self-reflection, and change. Which makes it sound pretty heavy but we promise that there will be some wry humour along the way. https://store.steampowered.com/app/4177420/Fatemender/ The game currently has a public playtest going where we're hoping to get feedback on the opening tutorial. It's a fairly novel game so we are trying to keep onboarding fun yet education and we really want to nail the combo.
