In Ultrasound, navigate the eerie corridors of a space freighter as you craft medications, upgrade your ultrasound machine, and find tools to combat an expanding infection. Will you save the ship or succumb to its horrors?

About this game

A MYSTERIOUS INFECTION IS SPREADING aboard a long haul space freighter. As Medical Officer Dana Voss, you must diagnose and perform surgical procedures on ship systems. Restore functionality before your collision course with a star comes to cosmic end.

-

  • USE A PORTABLE ULTRASOUND MACHINE to discover and diagnose bizarre malformations that hide within your ship.

  • PERFORM SURGERY to repair infected systems in tense and gruesome procedures that will test your skills.

  • MAINTAIN UNIQUE SHIP SYSTEMS such as life support, navigation, cargo manifest, and more. The failure of each system has drastic affects on your play experience, forcing you to adapt and manage resources effectively.

  • CRAFT STRANGE MEDICINES to heal and eradicate foreign growths. Navigate the risks, rewards, and unexpected effects of your creations.

  • MULTIPLE ENDINGS and high variety in each playthrough. Discover hidden secrets and new dimensions of the story each time.

ULTRASOUND is being developed by two new fathers-

Walter Woods (Lead Developer) and Jason Scalfano (Lead Artist) - and is inspired by their respective tragic and joyful paths to parenthood.

So many of us know the hope and horror of the ultrasound machine. The mystery. The ambiguity. The flickering image of life and death. We hope our game captures these difficult feelings and resonates with players.

ZERO Ai is being used in the creation of ULTRASOUND. It will be well made and reasonably priced.

Steam Playtest is Open for Applications!

Lots of great things have been happening, and we are almost ready to do another playtest. We have only done small private testing so far, and this one will be a bit larger scale, but still private. No streaming or sharing content please! The focus of this playtest will be bug hunting and feedback on the in-development demo. Please request access now, and when we are ready, we will let people in. Please be patient, as we are still trying to keep the pool relatively small, and will let gradually more in as we have new versions. Thanks so much! Walter

Private Prototype Playtest Coming Soon to Steam!

Ultrasound is entering the early playtest phase! The game is still taking shape in the womb, but we want to listen in to see how it's developing. The test will be starting as soon as possible! It was planned to start 10/23, but that depends on Steam approval, which has been delayed. Sorry! We will begin once this is resolved. This first playtest will be quite rough, and should only be for people who are interested in giving very early feedback. There are a lot of bugs, incomplete systems, and rough tutorials. This will be a small test as well. Not everyone will get access, so be patient please. If you're interested in joining the small group of people who help us out by joining our private, closed playtest, you are our hero. You can join our Discord and let us know you want a code by assigning yourself the "Ultrasound Playtester" role on entry: Join our Discord to join the private playtest This will also give you access to private channels for info and feedback. Please do not share anything from the playtest! There will be future playtests that allow streaming or sharing. Thanks so much! We are very excited! -Walter at Here Below

Help a spaceship give birth before it collides with a star in Ultrasound

How are you feeling today? Relatively untroubled by visions of squirming, organic gunk clogging your vessel's exhaust ports as you fall steadily toward an enormous ball of fire? We'll see about that. I'm here to tell you about Ultrasound, in which you are stranded aboard a spacecraft that has been colonised by growths of the Gigery persuasion. If you don't purge critical systems pronto, you're going to end up the wrong side of a photosphere. Here's a trailer. Read more
