In The Last Seed, craft production chains and restore life on a hostile world. Experience simulation and strategy gameplay as you build for survival with the help of The Last Seed.
About this game
The Last Seed is a 2D automation and strategy game set in a world where humanity has rendered the planet uninhabitable. You are the last remaining person, tasked with restoring nature and rebuilding life from a single surviving seed.

The atmosphere is poisoned, resources are scarce, and the environment is hostile. Your mission is to establish production chains, reclaim the ecosystem, and make the world livable again. But not everything in nature welcomes your intervention — some creatures will see your efforts as a threat.
In this world, you will:
Gather and process resources to build automated systems
Create evolving production lines to optimize efficiency
Manage humidity, temperature, and environmental conditions
Unlock new technologies to sustain life
Face resistance from a changing and reactive ecosystem

The Last Seed blends strategy, exploration, and environmental storytelling into an atmospheric gameplay experience. Every decision you make could shape the fate of a dying world.

Update 5 Massive Playtest Progress Report: From v0.1.11 to v0.1.20!
Wow. The feedback, crash reports, and sheer dedication you’ve shown during this Steam Playtest have honestly blown me away. Thanks to your active testing—and the automated tracking systems I recently implemented—I am catching edge-case bugs faster than ever.As the simulation grows deeper, I noticed a common piece of feedback: “How exactly does moisture transfer work again?” or “What’s the exact recipe for this production tier?”I hear you loud and clear. Instead of making you alt-tab to Discord or scratch your head, I’ve built something special. In my latest patch, v0.1.20, I am officially introducing the In-Game Game Guide!(Insert Screenshot/GIF of the Game Guide UI here)Now, you can master production hierarchies, deep-dive into complex environmental systems (like fuels and humidity), and view detailed component library data—all without leaving your factory floors. But that’s not all. I’ve been burning the midnight oil to push a massive wave of stability, UI polish, and quality-of-life updates over the last couple of weeks. Here is the ultimate breakdown of your journey from v0.1.11 to v0.1.20!🛠️ THE PLAYTEST CHANGELOG (v0.1.11 - v0.1.20)📖 v0.1.20 – The Knowledge Update \ In-Game Game Guide: A brand-new hierarchical UI panel containing everything you need to know about building hierarchies, moisture transfer mechanics, and material behaviors.💥 v0.1.19 – Combat & UI Polishing\ Resolved critical game crashes that could trigger during enemy attack sequences.\ Fixed the ammo indicator display interface acting up after loading a save file.💾 v0.1.18 – Save Armor & Menu Fixes\ Bulletproof Save System: To completely eliminate data corruption, the game now utilizes a "save-swap" logic. It writes progress to a temporary backup file first and only replaces your main save once the operation is 100% successful. Your factories are safe!\ Upgraded the automated bug/crash reporting backend for better diagnostics.\ Resolved a loading bug regarding Extractor building status displays.\...Read full article on Community Announcements (official.yeb.studio)Patch NotesOfficial
