About this game
What if the conspiracies weren't conspiracies?
You are Bru: a bald dude in underpants with pointy feet. All you wanted was milk for your coffee but you ended up incarcerated for a crime you absolutely, unequivocally did commit.
Bru's dogmatic quest for a cup of coffee lands him at the centre of a sinister alien conspiracy, where his stubbornness makes him an accidental hero - and the only thing standing in the way of sugar-stealing lizard aliens and their plans for world domination.
Bru & Boegie: Episode 2 – Get Da Sugar is a weird, fully-animated and fully-voiced 2D point & click adventure comedy.
Features:
MAP-O-DESTINY: Point and click your way through the seedy under, mid, and top belly of KiffTown, including Stacy's Mansion, Mr. Bergie's Box Ranch, the Anxiety Village Shopping Mall, and Illuminati HQ. It’s a big, terrifying world out there, but at least you have your trusty & rusty tricycle.
TIME IS AN ILLUSION: Clocking in at over 5 times the length of the first game, this substantial, fully-featured, and self-contained experience will inch you ever closer to your inevitable demise... or liberation.
WE ARE IN CONTROL: Master the incredibly intuitive one-button gameplay: point and click to interact, with optional right-click to examine for additional larks.
THEY’RE ALL LAUGHING AT YOU: Bru's specific brand of irreverent, deadpan satire has been meticulously tuned to appeal directly to your brain. That’s right, YOU. That's a lie.
THEY’RE EVERYWHERE: Delve deeper into KiffTown and survive an absolute infestation of its weirdo inhabitants.
A GAME WITHIN A GAME: Play a host of distracting mini-games designed to distract AND delight.
THEY’RE HIDING IN PLAIN SIGHT: Hunt down a trove of secret collectibles, but don't let it keep you up at night ok, sleep is important.
THE VOICES, THEY’RE GETTING LOUDER!: Fully voiced by actual human beings... or are they? (Yes, they are.)
All this and more await you in Bru & Boegie: Episode 2 - Get da SUGAR!

Steam Deck Works Great!
I'm pleased to announce that Bru & Boegie: Episode 2 - Get da SUGAR! works flawlessly out the box on the Steam Deck! The input is simple - left click to interact, right click to examine, the right trackpad works as a mouse, and either clicking in the trackpad serves as a click or using the right and left bumper triggers for left and right mouse clicks serve the same purpose. 👍The hamburger button serves as 'Esc' which brings up the Pause Menu. And that's about it! Final Stretch YOOO
Episode 2Allo! WOW this game has been a LOT of work, lol! I go to bed dreaming about coding Bru & Boegie!I really do think this is the final stretch. I miiight have overscoped it a bit but really wanted to make a splash with this one, a person only really gets one shot with first impressions of a game.I've passed a build on to Tiana the Sound Mixer so she can set the reverb levels and general audio mix (I recorded Bru & Boegie's voices much better this time and had the Sound Designer mix those properly). I run through a to do list of additions and fixes almost every day when life permits me able to work on the game, and have been whittling it down (while also finding new little niggles and patching those or adding to the list as I go). I'll make sure to do some testing with other peeps before the demo goes live for the public.Anyways, please hang on to your underpants, we're getting there. I've recorded but a SMALL smattering of some of the new animations as GIFs for Episode 2. Don't want to spoil too much y'know. In the meantime, if you'd like to please spread the word, the more Steam Wishlists I can collect the better my chances of a successful demo launch, thank you. 🙏Episode 3Whaaat?! Episode 3 announced before Episode 2's even out? Yes. It's crazy. But it might just work.An additional reason the Episode 2 is taking so long is that I traveled into the future (jks) and planned out much of Episode 3, so that I can be more sure that everything coalesces together like a delicious peanut butter and honey sandwich. Mmm.The Steam page for Episode 3 is live! I'd be most grateful if you would consider adding it to your Wishlist. I always planned for the overarching story to be a trilogy with each episode being a self-contained part of a whole, so figured may as well get it ready for showtime sooner than later:Episode 1Did you know? Episode 1 is currently on a 70% off special? If you haven't yet picked it up, I can't think of a better time to do that!Ok amigos, that's abo...Read full article on Community Announcements (Mike3000)AnnouncementsOfficial
Almost There!
Friends! I'm getting close to finishing up on Episode 2's demo. It's been a tremendous amount of work, and I'm very proud with how it's shaping up. ːsteamhappyːIt's still a couple weeks away from being ready to push the BIG RED RELEASE BUTTON.I hope it's a worthy successor to Episode 1. The demo itself is probably the same size or bigger than the full game of Episode 1 and works as a self-contained whole and also sets up a lot for the much bigger game of Episode 2 that follows. The demo is the first Act of Episode 2; the full game has 6 Acts and the middle acts are pretty big. The full game has a working map with multiple locations and sub-locations... it's a real adventure, ma bru. I considered calling the demo a PROLOGUE but may just keep it simple and keep it as DA DEMO.Music - done, sounding great, fantastic work by Wayne Simpson (end song vocals left to add and edit and master)Voices - so much dialogue lolol great work by Martinus Van Tee, recorded, mastered and in. All my Bru lines also recorded, mastered and in (possibly one or two Narrator pickups required)SFX - majority been given to me, in the process of putting them in. Super work by Pete O'Donoghue, also mastered the dialogue audio this time instead of me trying to do it. Great ambient tracks too.Audio Snapshots - still to be done by Tiana. That's like reverb levels for each room, etc.UI - needs some work, leaving this to one of the last things to do; conversation icons, inventory icons, menus etc.Character animations - couple more left to add toBackgrounds - all done, minor tweaks requiredBits and bobs - going to be adding in the next couple weeks, things like credits, auto-saves, title screen, the Steam back-end stuff etc.In any event, hope this serves as a good proof of life. I've been solely focused on making Bru & Boegie games for the last 2.5 years, with little bits of other personal projects sprinkled here and there. I bit off quite a bit with this second game, and have packed the demo with a lot. ...Read full article on Community Announcements (Mike3000)
