Classic PiecesBy popular request, you can now play with a traditional chess set for maximum board clarity, right alongside our original themed design. Switch between the two anytime in Settings, so you can pick whatever reads best for you. Bug FixesFixed a crash that could close the game on the loading screen when starting a lesson on some systems.Improved the stability of the voice command feature so it can no longer affect game startup.Fixed an error that could occur when resuming a lesson left in progress. Patch 0.6.1d: 100 New BOT.vinnik Reactions, Precise Saves & More
Hey, everyone!This is a special demo update for the Steam Next Fest, which just kicked off! It brings new content for BOT.vinnik, a much more precise save system, and a series of tweaks that make progression feedback clearer. Here is what changed: 🤖 BOT.vinnik has more to say We added 50 new positive reactions and 50 negative ones. He now comments on your moves with even more personality, praising your good plays and, well, making it very clear when you slip up. 💾 Pick up right where you left off The game state is now saved with much greater precision. When you return to a lesson, you continue from the exact move you were on, instead of starting over from the beginning of the lesson. ✅ Real-time progression feedback Lesson and exercise completion is now registered the moment you make the final move, rather than when you start the next lesson. The progress display is now more consistent with your current state and shows how far you have come more clearly. 🐶 Laika animation fix Fixed an issue in the Basic Module where Laika's talking animation would freeze after a few seconds. It is now synced with each of her lines. 📖 Smoother reading The theory text now reads more fluidly, and the typing sound is more subtle. 🎨 Visual refinements The opponent's move highlight now uses a single color (yellow) for both the origin and destination squares, making the indication cleaner. Various general visual adjustments to improve the game's visual communication. As always, all feedback is very welcome. Patch 0.5.4d - News about the demo
Hello, comrades! Updates have arrived. As expected. We have some news to share about demo build: 📦 Lighter DemoReduced both the download size and disk space used by the demo, so getting started is now a bit quicker. Improved Map ScreenAdded dust particles to the environment, giving the screen a more atmospheric feel. Added hover feedback on chapter chips and module buttons, making navigation feel more responsive. Laika now appears pointing at the Basic Module, helping new players figure out where to start. She quietly steps aside once the player clicks the module. Pacing and FlowSped up the text typing effect for a more comfortable reading rhythm. The intro animation now only plays automatically on first launch. After that, you can revisit it anytime by clicking BOT.VINNIK or through the credits page. As always, any feedback is very welcome.
