    Performance & Restocker Improvements

Hello everyone, With the recent changes to the customer demand system, customers are now purchasing more products, which means restockers have more work to do!Based on your feedback, I wanted to give restockers a few upgrades to help them keep up with the increased demand and make warehouse operations more efficient. This patch also includes a major performance optimization for the Product Purchase Window, especially for players with a large number of Grocery licenses.📦 Restocker & Unloader ImprovementsIncreased the maximum number of boxes restockers and unloaders can carry from 5 to 7.Height limits still apply, but workers can now carry more smaller boxes at once.Increased the maximum carrying height for unloaders by 25%.Improved restocker workflow! Restockers now dispose of empty boxes before returning leftover boxes to storage, reducing unnecessary walking, especially in large warehouses.🗑️ New Restocker Trash BinAdded a dedicated Restocker Trash Bin, available in the Furniture Shop. This allows you to separate restocker disposal areas from your own, helping keep your warehouse more organized.Efficiency Tip: Place Restocker Trash Bins near warehouse entrances to reduce walking distances.Important: Restockers only use trash bins on the first floor. Bins placed on the second floor will be ignored.🛒 Product Purchase WindowCompletely reworked the underlying system to improve performance, especially with many Grocery licenses unlocked.Ordering, filtering, scrolling, and controller support remain unchanged.Fixed an issue where the purchase window could sometimes appear empty.Thank you for all your feedback and support! More improvements are on the way! ❤️

Massive Grocery Expansion & Customer Demand Rework

A Massive Megastore Simulator Update Is Here! 🛒Hi everyone, one of our biggest updates yet has arrived! This update focuses on two major parts of Megastore Simulator:A complete rework of the Customer Demand System and a massive expansion of the Grocery Department.Alongside them, we've made major performance improvements, added several highly requested quality-of-life features, improved progression, and fixed a large number of long-standing issues.🔄 Customer Demand System ReworkThe customer demand system has been significantly redesigned. The main goal is simple:Opening a new department should make your store more profitable — not hurt your existing sales.Previously, customers entered the store with a mostly predefined shopping list. Because demand was distributed across available products, opening a new department, especially one containing cheaper products, could sometimes take demand away from your existing departments without meaningfully increasing the customer's total basket value. This became an increasingly important limitation as Megastore Simulator grew, and it would have created a major bottleneck for the new departments we plan to add in the future. That system has now been reworked.Customers now choose a Primary Department and a Secondary Department, while the actual products they purchase are selected dynamically as they shop. There is still some randomization involved, so customers won't behave identically or purchase the same combinations every time.More importantly, departments now directly contribute to customer basket size.Roughly 60% of a department's basket contribution comes from having the department unlocked, while the remaining 40% comes from the product variety available inside that department. This means unlocking a new department creates additional demand, rather than simply redistributing your existing demand. As Megastore Simulator continues to grow, this system will allow us to introduce more departments while also naturally increasing how muc...

Back to Megastore Simulator – What’s Coming Next

Hi everyone! For the past few weeks, most of my focus has been on Megastore: Tidy Up Together, as it was our newly released game and naturally needed a lot of attention around launch. Now that things are settling down there, I can finally return my main focus to Megastore Simulator. And as of today, work on the next update has officially begun. The Customer Demand Update Comes FirstAs we mentioned in our recent posts, my first priority is the new customer demand system. While working on Megastore: Tidy Up Together, I spent quite a bit of time thinking about how I want the underlying system to work. The general approach is already taking shape, and my focus now is on testing different combinations and finding the right balance. The main goal is to make sure that customer demand can continue to grow as your store grows. As you add more shelves, products, and departments, your store should be able to attract more customers, generate more sales, and ultimately become more profitable. In other words, expanding your store should continue to create new growth potential instead of eventually reaching a fixed demand ceiling. At the same time, I want to introduce this without disrupting the profitability of existing saves and established store layouts. Finding a balance that allows stores to scale further while keeping existing setups viable is one of the main things I’ll be testing.Megastore Simulator gives players a huge amount of freedom in how they build their stores, so I can’t realistically guarantee that every possible layout will scale perfectly. However, the goal is for the system to work well across the vast majority of normal store setups, so that continued expansion is consistently rewarded.More Than Just a Background AlgorithmI also don't want this to be something that only happens invisibly behind the scenes. This part is not finalized yet, and I will be experimenting with it during implementation, but my current direction is to make customer demand something you can act...

Hotfix Update 0.7.2 – Bug Fixes & Quality of Life Improvements

Hi everyone! While work on Megastore: Tidy Up Together continues at full speed, I wanted to push another small bug fix and quality-of-life update for Megastore Simulator in the meantime.I also didn't make a separate announcement for Version 0.7.1 since it was a very small hotfix and I didn't want to spam you with tiny updates, so I've included those changes below as well.Version 0.7.2Bakery products can now be placed into Generic Boxes.Entrance Gates and Barriers are no longer blocked by Automatic Doors during placement.Fixed the interaction boxes for Modern Grocery Shelf labels.Box Shelf and Pallet labels now update correctly for Liquor products.Prevented interactions through walls between the store and warehouse.Fixed Signage text alignment when an icon is used, so the text now remains properly centered.Slightly reduced the icon size on Small Signage for better proportions.Made several small optimizations.Version 0.7.1Added controller auto-scroll support to the Decorations window.Fixed an issue where one of the flowers could not be purchased.Added direction indicators when placing Entrance Gates to clearly show the entry direction. As always, I'll be keeping a close eye on your feedback and bug reports.Development of Megastore: Tidy Up Together is moving forward at full speed, but I also want to keep improving Megastore Simulator along the way whenever issues come up.Thank you for all the support and feedback!
