Minor Improvements
GB & PC Version: Fixed rows/columns with 0 walls not lighting up when a wall is placed in them. Targets will now enter a third state if targeted by more than one bomb. Bombs now light back up if they connect to a blue thing. PC Version: Added a red palette swap of the green tileset. Added a shimmer effect to the frame and outer buttons as a burn-in countermeasure. Increased the speed of the flood fill effect. Reduced the size of the outer tilemap for improved performance. Outside the frame of the green tileset is now black instead of green. Adjusted the OpenGL version listed in the readme.txt. Added instructions to the readme.txt for how to disable the shimmer effect if desired. Minor Improvements
GB & PC Version: Added a flood fill effect after bombs have finished exploding. If two bombs are connected they will now light back up if already greyed out and be prevented from greying out until they're disconnected again. If the number on a bomb is exceeded by the number of targets connected, it will now light back up. If the number of walls in a row/column is exceeded, the number will light back up. If a blue thing is connected to a bomb it will now change state, similar to the way targets change state when connected to bombs. GB Version: Improved how playfield updates are handled so slowdown when placing walls/markers on levels with lots of targets should be much less noticable. PC Version: Enabled compiler optimizations. Improved shader compilation so that redundant vertex shaders can be removed. Changed tilemap rendering to use a geometry shader for improved performance. Changed mouse input to be more lax. There's now a one tile border around the playfield where mouse input will still be accepted, this means the mouse will no longer forget whether it was adding/removing tiles if it slips a little bit outside the playfield. Fixed a minor visual glitch on the options menu where the displayed theme number would not update until the next frame. As a result of rendering changes, the required OpenGL version of the game has increased from 3.2 to 3.3. Graphics cards supporting OpenGL 3.3 appeared around 17 years ago and it seems that most which supported 3.2 also supported 3.3. As such, this change is unlikely to cause issues for anyone but the minimum hardware requirements have increased slightly.Read full article on Community Announcements (matthewmatosis)AnnouncementsOfficial
Logic Bombs is Steam Deck Verified
If you've been waiting for that green badge then your moment has arrived. Logic Bombs is officially Steam Deck verified. Thank you to Valve for taking the time to review it. Logic Bombs uses its own little custom engine so I had no idea how difficult it would be to support the Deck until late into development. In the end, it turned out to be incredibly painless. This victory really belongs to the developers of Proton and SDL but I'm happy to tag along with them. I think Logic Bombs really suits the portable format and I'm glad it's so easy to play it this way through the Deck. If you own a Deck you're now officially invited to a realm of pure logic.Read full article on Community Announcements (matthewmatosis)Patch NotesOfficial
Minor Improvement
PC Version: Puzzles which display control information will now show different buttons depending on whether the player enters the level with mouse/gamepad/keyboard. Reverted the initial setup text to remove the mention of viewing controls from the options screen. That screen is still available.Read full article on Community Announcements (matthewmatosis)
