About this game

A fast-paced, easy to play, tiny platform fighter for 1-4 players, built to honor the era where stick fights ruled the internet!

STYLE ON EVERYONE! We wanted A FEW QUICK MATCHES to feel like an old-school stick fight, which means flashy animations and impactful moments! To attain this feel, we made it so that most successful hits can be cancelled into air dashes, meaning your follow-up routes are nearly infinite. Deep-diving into this combo system is incredibly rewarding, and landing a well-executed chain of attacks feels uniquely satisfying. While this mechanic is not necessary to enjoy your battles, those who choose to embrace it will push the game to its limits!

FIGHT ANYONE! We designed our game with online play in mind. A FEW QUICK MATCHES harnesses the amazing magic of ROLLBACK NETCODE to ensure smooth, lag-free battles across the internet. Host lobbies to challenge your friends, or hop into quickplay to match up with any player in your region.

TUTORIAL MODE ADDED + A BALANCE PATCH

there is currently an issue where the tutorial is crashing the game for some users as soon as it starts. we're working on a fix and it will be patched tonight! # TUTORIAL ADDED #- won't be crazy helpful to you guys, but there's now an obstacle course that new players can run through to learn controls / basic mechanics.# QUICK CANCEL BELLS IN TRAINING #- in training mode, you can go to "stage settings" and enable bells. these are objects you can hit and quick cancel off of. hopefully this helps newer playerspractice quick cancelling muscle memory without having to worry about the actual combos in the beginning.# BALANCE CHANGES #- there are still more changes i'd like to implement, but i at least wanted to get some bug fixes out of the way....and nerf rend.....## KNOCKT ##- increased hitbox sizes for jab 3/4/5 to connect more consistently- increased dsmash damage from the initial arrow to hopefully fix a bug where you could escape the explosion## REND ##(long time coming, i know)- increased startup of aerial neutral special by 4 frames. this makes the move reactable, which is important for this next part..- if you parry rend's aerial neutral special, rend will now enter a stun state and begin falling, making the move punishable on parry.- neutral special cooldown increased from 3 seconds to 4 seconds- grounded neutral special can no longer be di'd, so you get a guaranteed followup jab (or some other tilt) after successfully sticking the opponent to the sword## NINJA ##- up special hitstun scaling reduced from 1.4 to 1.1, meaning ninja cannot combo 3 up special back to back and still get a followup after## SARISSAE ##- increased set hitstun of jab1 so it more consistently connects with jab2- forward tilt: fixed a bug where you couldn't quick cancel immediately after connecting the move- down smash: increased knockback scaling from 1 to 1.2- fixed an issue where sarissae could not up special when respawning until she touched the ground- fixed an issue where sarissae co...
