About this game

RhythmStrike is a vertical-scrolling rhythm game inspired by modern Japanese arcade titles. Designed to push the limits of mouse and keyboard mechanics, RhythmStrike features music from renowned rhythm game artists such as t+pazolite, LeaF, and EBIMAYO.

[GAMEPLAY]

Tap incoming notes with your keyboard while tracking the rhythm from side to side with your mouse. Beginners start with simple mouse tracking and tapping, while veterans navigate hybrid charts that shift between standard 6K and 3K+Mouse sections. As you play, visual effects trigger in sync with the track, altering the visuals in real time.

[MISSION MODE]

Progress through a dedicated challenge campaign. Clear songs by surviving miss limits, hitting combo thresholds, or maintaining precise accuracy and unlock hidden content.

    Update 0.2.0 - Patch Notes

    Notable Changes:A new song "ReviXy" has been added.A new difficulty level "Master" has been added, and a few songs already have corresponding note charts.Current difficulty ratings have been overhauled. The algorithm that determines player skill ratings has also been improved.Strike Notes are now more lenient regarding the position of the player character. This should make thin Strike Notes slightly easier to play.The visual design of Slider Notes has been changed to reduce visual similarity with Strike Notes in certain situations.For all settings involving numbers, you can now set specific values more easily and also enter the numbers manually.In the Key Bindings settings, you can now select integrated presets that accommodate different preferences and keyboard sizes.When using a mod to disable FX, the score reduction has been lowered from 5% to 3%.Fixed Issues:Communication with the backend server is now faster and more reliable.By default, the mouse tracking can now extend beyond the Play Field boundaries to prevent drift after fast flick movements. This behavior can be reverted in the settings.The mouse cursor no longer interferes with menu navigation when using the keyboard.

Slight performance improvements. Fixed Issues: Fixed an issue where Slider and Strike Notes could not be played properly at a low framerate. The note speed now automatically scales according to the visible area of the Play Field.

    Update 0.1.1 - Patch Notes

    This update addresses most of the feedback reported since the game's initial launch. Bugs fixed: Fixed a bug where playing with an Instant Fail Condition prevented any score from being saved. The game should no longer stutter when playing a song for the first time. Fixed a bug where identical score values in the leaderboards were not sorted properly by time. Several other bugs have been fixed as well. Notable changes: You can now disable FX in the free play mods menu in exchange for a 5% score reduction (subject to change). When you clear a song with a Perfect Play, you will receive a new "SS" grade. Strike Notes are now easier to play. The player rank now depends more on the skill rating. The player rank shown as a percentage now includes the first digit after the decimal point. Mouse controls have been improved. There has been a slight improvement in game performance. The mouse scroll wheel direction to change songs in the song select menu has been reversed. The "Play Field Cutoff" setting has been renamed to "Play Field Length." The song panel now shows whether the Hard Energy Bar is enabled. The game's framerate is now x1 by default instead of x2.
