About this game

In PAEB, every match takes place on a newly assembled map made from different islands, structures, and zones. Routes, positions, and situations are constantly changing — no two games feel the same.

Weapons behave consistently and predictably.
You’re not fighting your gun — you’re focusing on aim, movement, and decision-making.
The combat is fast, responsive, and satisfying.

Modules let you adjust weapon behavior to match how you prefer to play — stability, mobility, range, and more.
No gimmicks. No confusing systems. Just straightforward customization.

Each map is built from handcrafted islands, buildings, and points of interest.
Individual pieces may be familiar, but every combination is fresh.
You never know what the next encounter will look like.

Meteor showers, anomalies, and hazardous zones can appear mid-match.
They shift the flow of combat and reward players who adapt quickly.

You’re ready to fight almost immediately.
Encounters are frequent, downtime is minimal, and there’s always something happening around you.

PAEB is about exploring the unknown, adapting to new situations, and responding under pressure.
Every match is a new route through a world that outpaces you.

STATE OF PAEB #3 - World Generation
Version: A.25.12.3 One of the core pillars of PAEB is procedural world generation. Every match takes place in a new, non-repeating world. At the moment, the game supports five different world generation types, and what you’re seeing in the videos is exactly how these worlds are built. World generation in PAEB consists of several layers.First, the game generates islands — their position, orientation, and overall layout in space. This is the foundation of every match. Each island then gets points of interest. I usually call them structures, but in practice they can be anything that provides loot, cover, or tactical positions. On top of that, the world is covered with biomes. Biomes never overlap and there are currently seven of them. Each biome comes with its own visual style, unique mechanics, additional risk, and better loot. I’ve already talked about biomes in previous posts, so here I’ll keep it short. To move between islands, the game generates ziplines based on a set of rules. A zipline can only be used from one side or the other — you can’t latch onto it from the middle. This makes positioning and route planning important during fights and rotations.Loot itself is not scattered randomly. All loot appears only in chests, and those chests depend on the island and the structure placed on it. Loot quality is directly influenced by the biome. World Generation TypesThe five generation types shown here focus specifically on how islands are placed in space. FLATLANDThis is the most familiar setup for players. All islands are arranged roughly within a plane, though each island itself is slightly tilted.Despite the name, nothing prevents you from flying under islands, approaching from unexpected angles, or hiding below them. Sound plays a huge role here — knowing where shots and movement come from is critical. RINGProbably the most controversial generation.Islands form a large ring around a black hole. Landing safely often comes down to luck — if you choose the wrong spot, t...Read full article on Community Announcements (EZ)AnnouncementsOfficial
STATE OF PAEB #2
Version: A.25.12.3 I’ll start with some general things that apply to all biomes. Each biome in the game has its own distinct primary color. This color is used not only in the environment, but also in the object outline system. Neutral objects use the biome’s outline color. In the crystal biome, it’s a bluish tone.At the same time, important objects such as players and weapons are highlighted with a different outline color, so they always stand out from the environment. In the crystal biome, the outline color for players and weapons is pale red.Now a bit of general information about biomes themselves. Each biome has a sphere of influence with a radius of about 150 meters. All islands that fall within this area receive the visual characteristics of the corresponding biome. But a biome is not just a recolor. It affects world generation, loot, and other gameplay elements. I’ll talk about the details of generation and loot later in separate posts. For now, here’s how it affects gameplay. Each biome has its own unique features. At the moment, a giant indestructible crystal appears in the center of the crystal biome. Around it, there is an area that deals damage to everything inside. When it appears, the crystal scatters smaller crystals in all directions. These smaller crystals are also indestructible and can be used as solid cover during combat.Since a biome may only partially affect an island, I implemented a smooth biome blending system. This helps avoid hard borders and makes transitions feel more natural. For example, here you can see a transition between the crystal and sand biomes, and here — between the crystal and the default biome.Another example is how the shrinking zone gradually takes over an island. In this screenshot, the island is under the influence of the crystal biome. In the next STATE OF PAEB posts, I’ll continue breaking down biomes one by one and gradually move on to their mechanics and impact on gameplay.Read full article on Community Announcements (EZ)AnnouncementsOfficial
STATE OF PAEB #1
Version: A.25.12.3 Kicking off STATE OF PAEB - a series of posts where I’ll show what’s currently happening in the game and how things are progressing. Today I want to show the biomes. There are 7 of them right now: default, ice, radiation, volcanic, crystal, sand, and jungle. Six of them are fully custom. Each already has its own look, and later every biome will get its own mechanics and its own behavior during world generation. I’ll talk about that in the next posts. For now I just want to show how they look at the moment. Below is a GIF with a fly-through of all the biomes. Let’s go. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45872107/1b5201920bc576157222c5ad632e4958583d6dbd.gif And a few words about world generation. The map is created from scratch before every session and consists of separate islands. Each island has its own biome - that’s exactly what you’re seeing in the fly-through. In the next STATE OF PAEB posts, I’ll go through each biome one by one, show their mechanics, features, and how they affect the gameplay.Read full article on Community Announcements (EZ)AnnouncementsOfficial
