Higher: The Last Dream is an immersive 2D platformer in which you play as Starlight, a hero of light cast into lost worlds, drained of all color and joy. The legendary flames must be rekindled so that each world can shine again. But behind every world he crosses lies a truth he no longer remembers.

Story
In a universe between dreams and reality, Starlight, a hero of light awakened in darkness, must ascend the skies and confront the surrounding obscurity.
Along your journey, you'll meet new endearing, mysterious, and quirky characters, and face mythical creatures that stand in your way. Lost in the unknown and having lost your memory, rekindle Starlight's eternal flame by rediscovering the hero's forgotten memories.

Greatings !After 2 years of intensive development, we are finally reaching the beta stage of Higher: The Last Dream. But before that, we wanted to tell you what has happened over the last three months.This development period has been particularly intense and challenging, but it fortunately ended on a very positive note. We had the opportunity to present our first two prototypes at several video game and geek culture events across France.The most recent event was the Toulouse Game Show (TGS), and how can we put it… Seeing several hundred spectators and players gathered in front of our booth gave us a boost of motivation. This experience clearly made us want to push the development of the game even further !To thank everyone who stopped by our booth and added the game to their wishlist, we are sharing a few photos of our booth, with our own faces in them !The last with the both hat guy : Farod Games, I'll get you next time ! ːsteammockingːLet's talking about developmentA beta release date is planned and is currently scheduled for Summer 2026. Following that, a first demo is also planned for September 2026. ːsteamthumbsupːI want to be transparent about these dates: they have been pushed back. The reason is simple : development has proven to be particularly demanding, especially on my side, as I am the solo developer of this game.The goal remains to deliver a solid experience that stays true to the project’s vision, even if it takes more time. To reflect the current development status, I have also updated the screenshots on the Steam page.We will resume work on new levels and overall development in January / February, taking some time to enjoy the end-of-year holidays and come back even more motivated.A growing communityThe community is growing every week!
