The American (Fighting Game) Dream
Our game has no combos. Instead, after landing a hit, you'll be thrust back into neutral, reemphasizing your movement and giving your one-shot supers even more impact. The unique gameplay loop allows for a fighting game that aims to bridge the gap between competitive and casual players; allowing the sweats to grind out stylish movement tech, but inevitably letting the noobs win a game or two with a lucky super.

It’s HIGH NOON! Andrew Jackson is now playable!
Jackson has officially joined the EC roster! A bounty hunter with a love for one on one shadows, Jackson’s playstyle revolves around unmatched ranged pressure and brutal hard reads.The GunAs fans of Super Smash Brothers Melee, we had to bring the most iconic (and most divisive) platform fighter projectile to Electoral Carnage. Like it’s SSBM incarnation, it locks down the opponent allowing Jackson to get close and punish with his oppressive normals.If You Move, You’re DeadInspired by classic cowboy showdowns, Jackson’s unique ability, DRAW!, has him enter a stance. If the opponent presses ANYTHING while he’s locked in, they’ll instantly be stunned. This fullscreen button check completely changes how is to be played.PREDICTABLE! If you’re really confident, you can use EX DRAW!, which upgrades your stun to a hit! This move works the same as regular draw, but it requires Jackson to guess what button his opponent is going to press. Satisfaction Guaranteed Jackson’s first super is a new take on “One Hit KO.” Instead of dealing damage, he sets his opponents health to one, and sets his own health to two. Setting up a final showdown where he has the advantage, but anyone can win!Hickory’s WrathJackson takes to the skies and attempts to finish off his opponent in a single shot. This super normally does 3 damage, but if you land a perfect shot, it’ll crit and instantly win you the match!What’s next?DLC #3, William Henry Harrison, is in the works. But we might need a bit longer than usual to get him out (like 4-5 weeks), as I anticipate we’ll need to commission sound effects for his…unusual attacks. Also it’s likely (but not guaranteed) that we’re going to be adding palette swaps (aka skins) to the game with WHH, so get hyped for that. You saw the title. The 10th addition to the EC roster is none-other than Magical Girl Trump. While we are planning to add "regular" Trump later in development, this idea was too insane to keep hidden any longer.Two Forms!Magical Girl Trump begins every match in base form. Without her powers, she's just a clumsly school girl with the worst movement in the game. However...If you can charge your super, you'll transform into the most overpowered character in the game!Schmoovement!MGT's air and ground speed are unmatched! Master momentum-canceling her movement options and run circles around your opponents (and do it in heels!).Magic Bullsh*t Make your foes regret ever letting you transform with intentionally overpowered buttons! Cameos from Netanyahu, Epstein, and more!When she's down and out, Trump can always count on her friends to help her obliterate the battlefield!Balance ChangesWe're of the opinion that Lincoln's teleport is a lot more fun than spamming his projectile, so we've given him a rework. Lincoln: Hat can no longer be charged or released from a jump. His lucky penny teleport is on a drastically shorter cooldown and flies faster. Movement speed slightly increased as well.Nixon: Frame data improvements for Stars! and Stripes! We also made float slightly faster.Taft: Eat speed increased for both supers.Washington: Added a slight lockout window for using rifle after a hit to combat spam.Improved ClashingWe touched up clashing to make it easier to react to and feel less jank.What's Next?Character 11 is almost done. The beta build will probably be on Discord this weekend. Not unreasonable to have him on steam within a week (but no promises). We Made The Biggest Character In Fighting Game History!
President Taft was the only president to also be a Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. Honoring his judicial legacy, we’ve given him a unique courtroom-inspired moveset with gavels, bailiffs, and legal rebuttals.Just kidding, we made him freaking HUGE!EAT UP!The more Taft eats the larger he gets. The bigger you are the stronger your kit becomes, unlocking new moves, more powerful attacks, and up to 4x damage.If you’re wondering how big Taft can get, there is no limit! You can hold down the button long enough to crash the game — but good luck doing that in a real match.It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s…a balloon?Taft’s Unique utilizes his size to fly him around the battlefield like a balloon. Bounce of the walls and floor for extra speed! Puffer Fish ParryA man with a hurtbox the size of the screen needs an anti projectile move. Taft’s air jab will destroy projectiles and refresh your movement options. TUB OF JUSTICE!Like the rest of Taft’s kit, the larger you are, the harder it is for your opponent to escape.…and introducing: The GettySlam AddressWe’ve wanted to give Lincoln another super for a while now, and we’re pretty proud of how it turned out. Now you finally have a way to punish those jump happy opponents with the most electric move in America. Other stuffWe added a new stage! I also made some balance changes to Teddy’s super and added a new clashing mechanic. As Nixon deals damage he’ll collect stones which upgrade your attacks.Stars StoneThe Stars Stone extends the range of Nixon’s primary projectile, allowing him to go toe-to-toe with the toughest zoners.Stripes StoneThe Stripes Stone adds a projectile to Nixon’s jab.
